It's not uncommon for me and my lady friend to be fifteen minutes into a movie, and start talking that we think we have seen it. Then, the arduous selection process starts all over again, and sometimes the next movie isn't worth watching fifteen minutes in. At that time, sometimes the desire to watch a movie is just gone.
You need someone to tell you that you've saw a movie already?
You watch wayyyyy too many movies. And don't pay attention when they are on.
I can't watch a movie unless I also have a book to read.

There are instances where I can be reading a book (usually a novel)...watch a movie on the tube and listen to the radio (usually a sports broadcast) all the same time without missing anything or losing my place...
In other instances depending on the movie...I do not want any distractions...some movies demand 100% attention or you will miss something important...
Yes, and when that happens I will put the book down. I think that a lot of it's programmed into me from so many years of having commercials every 10 minutes. It used to be a good time to get up for a bowl of ice cream, but I can only do that so many times before it starts to show.
ig:If you watch Interstellar, you'd have to put the book down, shut radio off, get off TBN and hang up the phone to make heads or tails out that movie, I'll never watch it again....

The only sci-fi flicks I watch are on 'Mystery Science Theater 3000'
Won't watch anything with sylvia stallone, vin (boy) diesel, wil feral, ugh grant, tire perry...or movies made from comic books...
Don't watch anything about vampires, werewolves, zombies etc., etc...
I turn the audio off for any sports broadcast with joe buk or al mikels
Will watch anything from an Elmore Leonard story/book

I've got nothing against T.C. but he was greatly mis-cast in the 'Reacher' movies....considering that the Jack Reacher character is 6'-5" tall and weighs over 260#'s...! :laughing:
