Well, Red is a lot more red now. Nice bright IH Red to be exact. Took a full quart of Majic implement paint which is probably way too much. But I just bought the sprayer too and have never used either, so it was probably set to use too much. Need to let it cure until tomorrow before even thinking of touching it. Next step is to clean out the rust in the grooves of the pulleys so I can begin reassembly.

Pictures?

Hopefully you added the hardener to that Majic paint, otherwise it will need to sit in the hot sun for a week before you can touch it.

^^ Did that.

Hope I got the mix right though.

No pics yet. Need a few more steps. It's not a real good paint job. Surface was descaled, but not thoroughly sanded, divets filled, etc. Rusty metal primer applied, but there are a lot of imperfections visible in the finish coat. Thinking of getting another quart for a second full coat, but I've already got over $50 in paint on the thing. It's a many years old rotary cutter after all, not a show car.

Yellow is in pretty rough shape also and will need a similar tear down and repaint, so I could go and get a quart of red and one of yellow, I guess.

Just wish I knew if they'll sell. Red sells for close to 4K new, so I'd be fine with half of that.

Grey is available at Northern Tool for 1,500 ( https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200660643_200660643 ) so again, I'd be happy with half of that. I don't have a lot of dough in that one. Just blades so far. Paint is 'fair' but I won't get too deep in that one. Will try to do something about the rust on the skirting.

Yellow is a Rhino FM72, maybe an A suffix. Prices are all over the place. TH has two used ones that are a bit newer and different than this one, both priced over $1,000

Still need to put the new blades on, but I need to lift and support the deck to do so. Plus I need to buy or borrow a torque wrench that will do 108 FtLbs. Bolts that hold the belt covers don't want to cooperate, so I'll get new ones of those next week.

I see a little static up there. Need to adjust the dial a bit.

Deck was intact, just covered with leaves and junk.

I believe they are referring to the belt covers, which obviously are missing in the older pic.

Nice job though. :thumbsup.
