Belt covers are standing off to the side, but I think they're shown is some of the other early pictures. Not sure now.

Blades and attachment hardware, bearings, oil seals and labels all came from a BefCo dealer in Ohio.

I see a little static up there. Need to adjust the dial a bit.

Deck was intact, just covered with leaves and junk.
sorry, it was an optical illusion, it looked as if the whole deck was rusted away, and I was looking through it.. now I see it is there!..

Well, like the guy with the horse avatar says, there's one in every crowd. Got the $10 torque wrench, set it for 103 Ft Lbs. Two of the blade bolts clicked on real nice. The third wants to be a boogar. Too muggy today to mess with it any more. Cooling off in a couple of days, so I'll hoist the other end of the mower and try again then.

This is how it works in my world.
Craigslist add shows this picture:

When I show up to buy the mower, it looks like this:

That won't happen unless the ad (which isn't up yet) has been up for ten years or so and I've given up any hope of selling it. Put flyers up in a couple of local businesses today, but nothing anywhere on the web yet.

Yeah I know it won't be that way for your mower. I do notice adds that include the date in the photo sometimes, and it's an old photo taken when the item was nearly new. That leaves you guessing what it looks like today.
You did a fantastic job restoring this. Very impressive!

Appreciate it. I just wish I'd had a better place to paint and the tools (sandblaster, etc.) to fully strip, prep and repaint properly.

Guess I never updated this, but my LS dealer sold the red one for me. Got a nice check for $2K after their commission.

Still have grey, thinking of selling. Probably won't mess with yellow --- seems like parts won't be easy to find or reasonable. Might scavenge it for something else.

Got $800 for grey.

Thinking of using the hulk of yellow for a weighted drag harrow if I can find the harrow part at a decent price.
