Just shield.I have the same mower coming tomorrow. Looks like we will need a PTO extension on the tractor to clear the arm. Did the shaft bend or just the shield?
PTO shaft has a lot of space.Looks like it got hung up on the off set pivot point. How much clearance is there? Looks like it is in perfect alignment to get chewed up on the grease zerk, there are other marks on the pivot point that are also in line with the damage.
Are you talking about the 3 point raising and lowering too fast? If so, there is a control knob somewhere around / under the tractor seat to slow it down by turning in or out.
Thank you!Looks like it got caught up on the pivot point zerk. I suggest - remove the PTO shaft - remove the shield - check to see that the shaft is not damaged. Because of the offset you will likely need a PTO extension for the tractor. This would provide the necessary clearance between the shaft and the pivot point on the flail.
Remember - if you do install a PTO extension - recheck the length of the PTO shaft. It may need to be shortened.
