Like so much technology, it's not very user friendly. Great if you have figured it out or had help and then use it all the time. Not intuitive at all.

And then, I can't figure out how to pay with VISA because they want you to use their card in this particular case and kind of hide the Generic VISA payment option. Time will tell if I make as many mistakes as their systems, that often don't give you sale prices at checkout. Tired of having to watch all that stuff like a hawk. With self checkout, I can be much more relaxed and inattentive.

I still pay cash , so far that's the universal language.

Actually the Covid Boogy Man won't take cash in many places. Including MacDonalds and Wendys.

I never use Debit. CC for everything and balance paid off each month. I know it increases operating costs,

We rarely use cash. For that matter, I tried swiping my I.D. into the time clock at my job last week and it wouldn't work.... I was swiping my VISA card.

I never use debit, either. I have too much money going through my checking account to risk somebody getting hold of my card #. I was paying my power bill and one other local account with it, but earlier this year while checking my account I noticed that "Amazon" had made a query on my card. No money taken out, yet they should never have had that number in the first place so the next day I called my CU and had it shut off. They sent me a replacement card with a new number but I haven't and won't activate it.

I was just mentioning debit/credit on another thread a couple of minutes ago. Yep, stopped using debit a while back. I like the buyer/fraud protection of using a credit card. Also the airline miles. :D

I like when you pay for a hundred bucks of Gas with the CC, go next door to buy a hamburger and they tell you the card is no good, and you make a total azz of yourself. Turns out, at the moment, the bank decided to cancel it, on account of suspicious activity. Nice of them to tell me, and they won't even tell me where the suspicious activity occured to protect the criminals. Other than that, yes CCs are GREAT.

This weekend I bought $122 worth of gas, $48 something worth of gas and car wash, $120 of groceries, $101 of groceries, $800 something of concrete, pizza, an oil change, and $50 at Walmart for flowers and tough meat

Never got a call about weird spending.

Many times I go to the gas station to refill my cans of gas and diesel for use around the barn. I put my card in and pump the diesel and pay for it, then I have to start over to pump gas. The credit card is then denied as it looks suspicious to the bank's computer. I have to use a different card to pay for the gas or wait about 15 minutes to use the same card again.

I went to the hardware store 15 miles down the road a few years ago. It was a last minute trip to get something, so I didn't have my phone or AAA card. When I got back to the truck I discovered the battery had failed. Luckily (?) I found my CC in the glove compartment so went back in to buy a new battery... only to find my card didn't work. I went to the bank next door and got cash to pay for the battery and drove home... to find an automated text, two voice mails, and e-mail telling me that my attempt to buy a battery had tripped a fraud alert and my card had been deactivated. So much for carrying a CC for emergencies.

Me neither. Except a couple times when I have been in SE Asia or China and I get a call to verify the transaction.
