I'm thinking Muhammad pulled the plug. He was getting complaints from his advertisers about cussing. So they were threatening to back out.

Then the incessant name calling and bickering between members.

It would probably have worked if he could have had a full time baby sitter spanking the ones that needed it.

But since there wasn't any corporal punishment and the natives wouldn't moderate themselves and act respectful......

Yep. I am ashamed to say I contributed to that. When the attacks escalated I escalated my responses. I let the pig get me into a wrestling match. My Dad wouldn't have been very proud of me. Was inevitable when permanently banned members from FP were allowed on that site.

I gave up on that place after a couple of days. When I saw those FP refugees were running the show over there, I decided there was nothing over there I wanted and even deleted the bookmark. There are just some people in this world that are not worth your time talking to.

I'm pretty much there also. I would rather read old news stories from 1940's Life Magazines.

Actually, the primary reason I even registered was because of Richard. While I don't know him personally, I find his comments on here to usually be worthwhile reading and I watched him defending his principles on there, in fact I 'liked' them quite a bit.

When I saw how many members that were banned from here for various reasons, no of which are my concern, I was quite taken back. It was almost like a haven for unruly posters that again, for reasons I'm not privy to, were expunged from here.

Every time I visited (rarely) there was an ongoing exchange of one upmanship going on.

Would have been nice of the members on there could have actually acted like grown men (and women) and posted in an adult manner but obvious to me at least, that wasn't the case.

Too bad if it was pulled but I understand. It was a good alternative to keep the politics off this forum and politics of any kind should be verboten here anyway.

TopNewsTalk I believe. It was a separate forum from TBN that Muhammad had to come up with because some members here couldn't behave themselves and just follow with the rules.

Also an abbreviation for Top-News-Talk. A very explosive web site.
