Pic of the dripping hydraulic oil; you can see the top of mounting plate is sopping wet. This was after about 2-3 hours of using the tractor with my new EA land leverler.

Thanks, I appreciate the help very much. I'm beginning to think it's time to cut my loss:

Order this same valve from Bailey's or order something else from someone else?

What you have learned in all of this is that companies like Bailey's are happy to rebrand stuff they did not make nor design.

I have found American Company Cross Manufacturing offers good phone advice and then good tech support.

If you order a new one order a single stick valve. A real loader valve.

That valve is being used for the rear remotes. Not the loader.

That's a lot of oil. Totally unacceptable, even if it was a simple drip every once in a while.

These valves are good quality valves. The problem was whoever installed it, messed it up internally unfortunately.

I have a 4 spool Badestnost valve on my homemade backhoe and a single spool for the drive and those things must have at least 900 hours on it without any problems.

If you could find an actual American made valve, would be nice. I'm sure the support for it would be much easier to deal with.

Yea, I'm slowly coming around to the idea of just writing a check.

One problem with changing valve makes: Possibility of having to change the hose ends due to different threads/sizes. SAE #8, #10 vs. NPT etc.

Oh well, life's tough, then you die.

That's what adaptor fittings are for.

Evidently "lazy" just doesn't ooze through the interwebs like it does in real life.

Ordered the new valve June 9, received it June 10. Spray painted it yesterday, let it sit overnight to dry. Installed it today and no *obvious* leaks. Haven't had a chance to get it hot yet, but here's to hoping for the best!

Not been around TBN much lately.

Sorry you had issues. Mine has been flawless. But agree that when it was hooked up wrong something probably went wrong.

So....its been almost a month now.....any update on new valve? And did you just re-order the same thing or go with something different?
