Why TBN isn't as enjoyable anymore

LoL...When it comes down to "taking names..." and making lists... methinks a lot of it has to do more with general dislike and personality differences than it does actual rule breaking habits...

There is a big difference between being controversial and posting opinions that go against the grain of some/many but don't really cross any lines and those that actually break a defined rule...

The interpretations of comments often turn something benign into directed insinuations which is often not the case...people tend to read too deeply into casual remarks which ultimately leads to degradation of someones online persona and character or reputation...

For the record I dare anyone to find a post where I mention the actual name of a political figure or state a partisan party's agenda talking point etc...I'm a journeyman at making my points without breaking any actual defined rules...I can't control what others perceive as insinuations that they consider crossing the line...

FYI if I had a list of actual (political discussion, i.e., those that name political figures or cite partisan party political agendas etc.) rule breakers...there is only one moniker that comes to mind as doing it habitually...so never try to kid a kidder...your it...YOU NUMBER ONE BABY...!

I know I have incited others to break the rules and get a thread closed without actually breaking a rule with my own comments...but for the record I have rarely if ever made insults directed at any single individual...if it was unmerited anyway

corn was all curling up and some was starting to get brown

@What someone said about the times & recent tension nationwide with the virus thing. I like to think I've been annoyed more often than annoying.

My top five list of pests remains empty. I've done my share of sniping too, but I get over stuff so quickly I never bother to put anyone on it.

btw, 5030, Moss, and Big Barn top my "Good Humor" list. IMO they do much to make TBN enjoyable & ya just never know who else is on that one.

I'm not always on my good humor bandwagon. There are a ton of posters on here that immediately get butt hurt if things aren't going exactly the way they planned it out in their minds.

99% of my comments are meant in jest but some people take things way to seriously. It's just an Internet forum, it's not life and death. We can all shut off the computer and go about our business and never have to suffer fools on here...

Why I like TNT I guess. There you can make a comment without causing someone to get butt hurt. Besides, we have (MC) watching over us and you all know who MC is....:thumbsup:

Which IMO...does not really make much sense...considering the fact that the average IQ of the contributors (based on the content of their posts is about the same as their (contributor's) ages...)...No offense to anyone..some members are exceptionally brilliant...!

It's simply a matter of personal discipline...those that can't control themselves fall to the sword...it's generally an issue of lack of intellect...

Not in all cases. Some of the nastiest posters have high intellects. They are just bad to the bone. Some are very quick witted and well read. They use their skills to hurt rather than help others. Many under the guise of "educating" them. I think Schadenfreude plays a part here in their thinking too. If course I could be wrong, and perhaps I am on many lists as well.

Well you may be correct.

The last post on the Coronavirus#10 thread that was shut down by the owner of the site is at the end of this post. It was my post, but I have no regrets. If that post is too political and shuts down a thread...so be it.

After seeing Muhammad's posts on TNT, it apparent how he leans politically. But the reality is most tractor owners lean to the other end of the political spectrum. It puts both him and the moderators in a difficult position and it was smart to abolish all political stuff from the main forum.

What is happening in America is far more important than tractor stuff. But it is all political so not allowed on this site. It means less traffic and revenue but also less "pain". Might be why the OP and others find the site "less enjoyable"?

Politics is like having an ****. Everyone has one and everyone has a political opinion and because people are human, those opinions don't always mesh well which is why politics need to be relegated elsewhere, in this case TNT.

Bottom line is, this is a tractor related forum, not a political football field.

Just because 'MC's political views may be different than mine don't mean we cannot discuss them as adults.

What still makes this country great, the ability to discuss opposing viewpoints in a rational and adult manner. Where problems arise is when the 'adults' regress to children and make childish comments. That isn't acceptable on TNT or here either.
