Looking for loader valve...

Deere uses ORFS O-ring Face Seal style fittings on there equipment. Yes these are usually more expensive than NPT or JIC but are also almost zero leak and getting more common.

Most loader valves will have SAE O-ring boss ports or BSPP threaded ports. Fittings to go from SAE to ORFS are pretty common.

I re-hosed the loader on a JD4300 a while back, and I saved a bunch by buying ORFS-to-JIC adapters, then JIC hoses. NPT connections are lousy in the hydraulics world.

As for an FEL valve, SurplusCenter currently has a nice looking Chief joystick FEL valve with float, but no PB sleeve. $189 + ship. The valve seems to have a PB function, but you need that sleeve.

Is there any way I can get one of you who know these valves to find one and send me a link? I am not as knowledgeable as you guys on this. Also, where on the 4410 do you plumb to get pick up the hydraulic pressure? And is there a return line needed? If so, where is that plumbed? The dealer was more interested in selling me a new tractor.

Does your Deere have a loader on it? If so, the factory loader valve comes with a 3rd AUX valve on the same block, if it is like my 4300.

The OP wants to add a loader and needs help getting a loader valve. I would love to help him but I have no idea how his tractor is plumbed or what direction the valve will need to mount.

The factory valve for his tractor would have had the 3rd service spool so it sounds like your tractor is very similar to what he needs. Could you post some pictures of how your loader valve is plumbed and mounted? We might could get him to take some as well and be able to figure this out.

Underneath my tractor there is I believe a 3 port valve mounted directly to the transmission. Right now it controls the PTO and the 4 wheel drive. Could the 3rd port control a loader? The first 2 have electronic valves in them that are controlled with buttons to turn on the PTO or the 4wd. There is a plug in the third. Is that where John deere accesses the hydraulic system for a loader? I am familiar with it because I had to remove it and clean the valves do to the PTO not working...

I could not find that valve on SurplusCenter site. The valve someone posted earlier says the ports are SAE-8. Should I be looking for a JIC threaded valve?

Sorry, I should have reread the first post in this thread. Since you have the 4410 and no loader, you have what JD defaults to in the valve dept. JD calls them SCVs, and you seem to have some of the later solenoid-controlled valves. Maybe even the eHydro transmission.

I am posting pix of the 3-spool SCV you get with the 4200/4300/4400 when you have a loader. It is mounted to the trans casting, and some fluid passages are internal. External hose and hardline connections use metric O-ring threads. Metric-to-JIC adapters are what I used when adding hoses for the 3rd SCV. I do not know how similar this valve is to what you have on the 4210/4310/4410 tractors.

Great news, assuming he does not want $500 for a used valve.

Anyway, post a photo when/if you get it. Lots of TBN folks with JDxx10 tractors, which are similar, but not the same as JDxx00 tractors.

That is promising news! Hopefully they can get you up and running! Yes, pictures when you get it set up please!
