When buying valve stems for this or gas cans just make sure to get the good ones. Like the ones with the tightening nut because they don't break down from chemicals or gas. Ozone eats the China rubber ones pretty quick too.

I lubed it with Bead Sealer. Don't think that's necessary. Probly made it install easier.

How much air pressure did your's take before the relief valve opened? I chickened out at 40 psi.

My valve measured 38/64ths so I drilled a 9/16 hole which I thought was a bit undersized but turned out to be a smidgen to big so I sealed it with silicone. A 1/2" hole may have been better.

I didn't even have a shed to work in until I was 28 years old. Got my first shop with concrete floor when I was 44 years old.

46 or 47 here. Remember doing so much work on my gravel driveway, underneath the vehicle, at night, while it was raining. Because that's what I had to do.

I've got several new, rubber valve stems already but decided to swing by AutoZone tomorrow for these. $4.99 for the pair.

That is whats left of a 3-way battery powered 4 gallon backpack sprayer with wheels. The sprayer turned out to be junk but the cart was sturdy so I remodeled it and tied on this 2 gallon sprayer.

Walking around the buildings spraying with it is a whole lot easier with it on wheels.

There are two different sizes of valve stems. So be careful which one you drill a hole for. I just measure with a calipers and drill the hole a size or two smaller. It sure takes the drudgery out of spraying with a small tank.

I hadn't ever checked the pressure. So I tested it. Best I can tell 35psi.

I didn't want to go in debt to have a shop so waited until I could pay cash. My youngest Son was 17


If doing it over I would borrow the money and build it for my boys to grow up in. Could have benefited from many, many hours of Father/Son time together.
