What mig to get for aluminum??

Well I do have to credit you for being salesman enough to get right up front with the reality that the Banggood gun is probably a superior purchase for a man with a single use situation. After all, this man isn't setting up a production line moving a few hundred pounds of aluminum a shift, and he does have one of the finest MIG power units made.

Who knows what te outcome will eventually be? He might take a liking to door production, perhaps invent the first composite door, aluminum frame with fiberglass skin and insulation any and every farmer can build on the farm. Then maybe you can sell somebody your overly complex overpriced units and some of your high priced wire too.

Just think how many green machines you'll move when he puts in robots.

(removed). You are a bully aren't you? I wonder what you are trying to compensate for?

You try to ridicule the person who wants to spend money their way and insult them for what they want to do. Are you serious? We don't sell wire and never have. Are you just trying to throw stuff and see what you can make stick? Troll on...

Sitting here at 38000ft on an airplane (with a frigging mask on that needs to come off) headed home from Memphis and not understanding the animosity here. I totally get brand allegiance and a healthy debate on product functions/quality/customer support. What I don't get is divergent conversation that is not educational or at least humorous. Pretty sure a libation or three sitting face to face would go a long ways in a positive direction.

Someone (probably me) should design a mask that can accept coffee or tea bags and hook up to a 'camelback' and battery pack system to provide your favorite hot or cold beverage on demand. That way we can be social while distancing. My :2cents: Remember if you do invent such a product... respectfully grant me royalties.

Done flying anywhere for the immediate future. Have no desire to subject myself to a flying Petri dish and be the test subject. Mask or no mask.

Far as animosity is concerned, without reading any other comments besides yours (because I already know what the comments entail)... Everlast as a paid sponsor here can jump in at will and pander about how wonderful their products are and tout their attributes as well as inject comments towards their stuff in any threads they want to. The bottom line is simply, there are other competitors out there with equal to or superior products and while Mr. Lugo constantly downplays them and promotes his stuff, the bottom line is, his and theirs are both imported from China. (in the case of HF and some others) and I don't do Chinese welding equipment (if I can help it).

Mr. Lugo in the past drubbed so bad on Jim Colt that Jim no longer frequents the forum, I don't blame him. No one needs or wants that crap bestowed on them. Of course Jim isn't and would never be a paid advertiser like Mr. Lugo is and that gives Mr. Lugo a lot of latitude in posting what he wants to when he wants to.

In my opinion as an end user and a Hypertherm owner, Hypertherm produces a superior unit with superior support as well. Everlast is but a pimple compared to the net worth and technical expertise of Hypertherm. Just my view and as a common poster on there, probably not worth much because I don't 'pay for the right to express my opinions, just a poster like everyone else (except those who pay for a spot on here), something I'm not interested in at all.

Almost got it laid out, but I ran out of vinyl tubing and realy need one of them big transfer syringe things wid 2 valves.

Of course the entire design rests on your accepting what is called french press coffee, and ability to talk the contraption thru SECURITY. Not sure how them uniformed agents gonna take to a few feet of tubing and the preloaded coffee cartriges. Dis puppy no Kureg, not by a long shot, but it allows double passing de liquid thru de grounds for additional kick. If you can wangle a big mug of ice you can even have Iced coffee.
1, draw water from camelpack thru grounds
2, close valve to camelpack
3, lock mouthpiece securely between teeth
4, open valve to mouthpiece
5, push plunger for delivery to mouth via tubing.

No microchips to burn up, uses no batterys and requires no electric to protect the environment for somebody's grandkids.

You ever give any thought to coffee flavor Vodka? Or is dat vodka flavor coffee? Nancy has 6 glasses set up wid different volumes of coffee grounds steeping in de Sun right now for testing.

I tell ya if this puppy flys you gonna need china manufacturing and a whole second phone wid a fake extension just to process orders.
You can handle all the royal part yerself, I ain't been overly fond of them Royals since they treated that Diana girl like dey did.

I'm a happy Hypertherm owner and I have met Jim in person at Fabtech a few shows back. I always appreciated his :2cents: here on TBN as well. Too bad he isn't around anymore.

Playing with the newly introduced 45XP at the show convinced me that even I could plasma cut easily so took the plunge on a unquestionably high quality product that will last and have a high resale value should I need to cash out.

Have you tried welding with a spool gun? It sucks. You can get a quality AC/DC tig/mig/stick machine for the same price you’ll pay for a new mig machine + spool gun. You’ll learn how to make quality welds with AC tig on aluminum long before you do on a spool gun.

I know one person that has Miller spoolgun and it works good. Tig welding requires a bit more talent and lots of practice, it can be hard for the average welder especially for out of position welding, but when someone learns tig welding it make the prettiest weld out there.

Hypertherm is only a couple hours away and if I ever get a chance I have been offered a tour of the factory. Jim seams like a nice guy (never met him). Unfortunately their products are out of reach for most hobbyists, like most industrial quality equipment is. In this age it's nearly impossible to find anything that doesn't have parts sourced from around the globe. I prefer American made but I'm also realistic. Look at woodworking equipment. Almost nothing is made in the US anymore. Europe still does make stuff but it's priced at a premium.

Jim Colt has retired. That coincides when he quit showing up.

As far as latitude, I have always been subject to the same rules as everyone else.
But 5030 has no idea of the support we give or the progress we'e made in 12 years and little if no personal experience with our brand so it is naturally one sided. It seems he has pretty much free latitude to express his own opinions without fear of resposibility retribution or censorship sponsor or no. Hypertherm was a pimple at one time too...fwiw.
