has anyone tried stalube moly-graph grease(no. Sl330 item#1007910) it seems very good!.. I have 2 tubes..
I went through this a few years ago. After much reading on here and larger construction and farming sites, I settled on the newer multipurpose Polyurea grease that is shear stable for my 'just one grease' solution. It's the most compatible grease listed on the chart above, and has been proven in use by many who depend on equipment for a living. Both JD and Kubota sell it so it's easy to find. In fact, you'll find quite a few comments that JD and Kubota dealers now sell more of this than all other greases combined. I wasn't thrilled with the blue color of the Kubota grease, but now that I've used it I like how easy it is to see.
I still think the Kubota or JD multipurpose shear stable grease is a good solution.What痴 the second favorite that痴 more readily available?
Online is usually best for pricing, especially if you are getting a case or 2. Just become a preferred customer for 6 months (15$), it will save you about 25% off the retail price.
If you want to "try" a tube, looks like Ames, Carquest in Rockport, Advance in Waldoboro and NAPA all carry some amsoil products. Call first and confirm if you are driving out of your way, I have seen some "partial" inventories at retail stores.
Sign up as a Preferred Customer, you get discounts and they have free shipping promo痴.
You think with just using half dozen tubes would be worth it?
I just watched a home stead video and the guy is saying to store tube with snap off cap up so the grease settles to other end and wont trap air, the guy said then you wont have air problem when changing grease tube, anyone else hear that?
That doesn't make sense to me. The pull tab end is the end that goes towards the pump. That's the side you don't want the air to go to. I guess if your grease gun could accept the tubes the other way around it would make sense.
