A picture like his really should come with an explanation. Did he drive in head first, or go in slowly like stepping into a cold lake?

Five vehicles crossing the river. Me in the lead. Came from the direction the blazer is facing. Idling along just fine. Suddenly the front end dropped. I slammed on the brakes, jammed it in park, stepped out onto the rear tire and back into shallow water. Jeep slowly slid down into the water stopping as seen in the pic.

Towed it six miles home. Drained all fluids. Filled everything back up. Pulled spark plugs and turnex it over to get rid of water. Cranked it up!!

Kubota 44hp turbo diesel loves to swim. Down by the pond 4x4 tractors and trucks get stuck in the greasy mud. This doesn’t slow down.

A friend of mine had a summer place on the Colorado. He kept an old Willys that he used to launch his boat. Well, the old Willys brakes were the size of a GoKart and worked poorly in reverse. To offset that he would put it in 4 wheel drive and then use the clutch while in Compound low to stop the boat once it was in the water. One day he was rolling back down the ramp and accidentally knocker the 4 wheel drive lever into neutral. When he went to stop, yup no gears. He slowly rolled into the water all the way over the engine.

Yeah, the dock side critics all held up their 10 signs.

I'm not an off-roader, but it seems like that's part of the attraction for those of you who are.

Thanks for the update Gary. Hopefully these fixes will be the end of it!!!!

My family/friends and I 4wheel with caged buggies, mostly originating from Jeeps. We get into deep water a couple times a Summer. Requires diligence to touch everything that got wet and shouldn't.

Here's a pic of my Jeep sank in the river. Spent a couple nights in the shop drying everything out and changing fluids. Good as new.
