It is the gear shift lever [four gears].
The FOR/REV lever is on the left hand dashboard [and it goes 1 mph faster in REVERSE than it does forward]

Deere's website has detailed pics on all of the controls.
The economy series [3E / 3D] use the same loader with the integrated [to the loader] joystick.
This practice was common for open station machines that were 'universal use' vs dedicate tractor/loader/backhoe [TLB] across all of the brands.
Loaders for my 2017 Massey Ferguson 2605H are made that way.
Deere changes the numbers once in a while, which looks more like marketing than engineering.

The "bucket-end" of the loader mounts the same things as the 3R series (and probably more, my experience is with the 3 series compacts with this size loader).
