Murphy's Laws of Tractors

When trying to minimize moves when using a backhoe to dig a trench, you will always pull ahead 6" too far.

When lower your 3 point hitch attachment (e.g. skidding winch)”for safety” when you get off the tractor or quit for the day, you will forget to raise it and rip up about 10’ of sod next time tractor moves.

When attaching bucket and or forks, even though there may be only 2 pins you need to clip, somehow you will forget one (???!!!). A dangling bucket from the FEL is not a pretty site.

The trim on the side of any garage, barn, or shed door is 1” too narrow for all tractors with FEL’s.

"I'll just toss the tow chain in the loader bucket for now"

means

"I will find the tow chain next spring, or maybe soon with the snowblower!!"

The FEL bucket is what, 6' wide? And somehow the 12' wide door I put on that barn is still too narrow!
5 foot wide!... and yup, the door jamb got in the way. I hate it when they jump like that!

Ouch.....That hurts!
Especially on a brand new building!

I still have to knock my header back on the garage door after hitting it with the ROPS.

When you turn near a stone wall, the fell will just touch the one rock that is sticking out.

The good part is the actual door hasn't been installed yet, so replacing that little bit of damaged metal is easy. I'm cutting Bruce some slack on this since the final grading on the entrance to the building wasn't done yet when that happened.

LOL -- we did that too a coupla years ago in the old garage. 8' tall door. Always cleared the ROPS by a couple of inches when the door was opened via the electric opener. But then we had a power outage, disconnected the opener from the door and raised it manually. Ooops. The springs didn't hold it quite as fully open as the electric opener did. That's why the new building has a 10' tall door. :)
