Carport and Mice

i know how you feel - cdaigle430. I have all the necessary predators but they simply can not keep up with expanding rodent populations. I've never heard of chickens as a deterrent to mice. If this is the case - I wonder about Pea Cocks or Guinea fowl. Whatever - chickens, etc - the battle is then to keep them from becoming food for the predators.

Come to think of it - the ONLY "action" I've ever witnessed. A large Red Tailed hawk took a cotton tailed bunny. I'm sure the Barn owls & Great Horned owls do well at night here. At twilight you can see them roosting in my big pines.

Yes - I'd like to know how you can build most any building that is rodent proof.

Here, the rodents climb the walls up to the soffet and chew a hole to get in to the attic and then chew their way down on the inside. Persistent little buggers.

Pole barn with ratguard on the bottom of walls. Cement formed to seal against the bottom of sliding doors. Service door is sealed. I've never seen a mouse climbing up a steel wall.
