That motor is most likely late 20's or early 30's vintage and the lathe is an old line shaft model from the turn of the previous century. lathes.co.uk has a lot of good information on older machines if you can find any information in the castings. It won't be the most rigid machine with the long and skinny bed, but for maintenance and hobby work you will love it. Big heavy machines will destroy expensive and impossible to replace parts in a crash, machines like that will chip tools and slip belts. I bought an old South Bend about 20 years ago and it led to a career change and I am so happy to be out of software. Enjoy!
