I get as laugh out of people buying tractors. One. they really don't know what they want and two they want the absolutely lowest price and are will to travel hundreds of miles to get it, bypassing any local dealer in the process... BUT, if the unit needs serviced or has a warranty issue or needs repaired and the owner is incapable of doing it..
They take it to the local dealer they screwed out of the initial purchase because they wanted it at a low ball price, but then they whine because that dealer puts them behind their valued customers who deal with that dealer, buy their units there and support that dealer.
Viscous circle perpetuated by greed on the buyers part. I find it amusing.
Carry on...
Interesting. I'd argue it's a two way street. I contacted every dealer within 200 miles last time I bought a tractor and gave them all the opportunity, most didn't respond at all with a quote. The nearest guy called back and after I asked what he'd be willing to do he said they didn't negotiate on the price of the machine only add ons. I love supporting the local guy but I also like having thousands of extra dollars in my pocket to do all the other things I need to be doing.
