wow that 206 SI has more 1 star ratings than many china built welders sold on amazon.

Amazon.com: Customer reviews: 2?19 Everlast SuperUltra 2?6si 2??a Tig Stick 5?a Plasma Cutter Multi Process Welder Dual Voltage 11?/22?v

If you can get money back I would look at maybe a 60 amp plasma only unit,

Primewelds 60amp looks really good

PRIMEWELD CUT6? 6?Amp Non-Touch Pilot Arc PT6? Torch Plasma Cutter 11?V/22?V Dual Voltage 3 Year Warranty: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

the only 1 star rating has been removed.

Only 4 and 5 star ratings on the home page.

Dual Voltage 11?v/22?v 6?-Amp Plasma Cutter | PrimeWeld

blowback torch and CNC capable with connection

3 years with shipping paid Both ways, and the price is about what the 206SI sells for.

Everlast sells a 60 amp with more features and it comes with the CNC torch but it is quite a bit more in price.

The Everlast does have 2 extra years of warranty.

another option as is Primewelds 3 in 1 which also has good feedback ratings.

I have the twin of the Primeweld in a Lotos but it only has a 1 year warranty and no free return shipping. other than a finicky torch switch I changed out it has held up well for 5 years now.

just a couple options other than Everlast or Harbor freight.

Hope i don't need a flame suit after posting a couple options, and Hopefully or Better yet, Everlast will be able to make this work out to both parties satisfaction.

If you looked at the reviews that are "negative"...there are really few.

But one of the reviews is from a customer that did not purchase this model...it didn't exist then. One customer did not get warranty because he purchased it from a "salvage" operation, and the unit was not sold as new or from an authorized rep. Another customer gave one star because the price jumped. One customer didn't like presale answers to his questions. This exact version came out around 2016. That leaves one or two bonafide negative reviews on the unit. The rest are positive, but just as many of them relate to out of date product.

Gary has been contacted by our repair center and has been/will be? issued a label to ship back. There are other possible options that are on the table pending outcome of the issue.

There should be a test where people need to prove they have a brain before they can leave review, something like the one they have to prove your not a robot.

This makes me appreciate my old Lincoln cracker box that I bought 50 years ago,
it may be an ol ac only buzz box but with absolutely nothing done to it in those years other then using it.
Then my old Hobart Handler 110 that's close to 40 years old, with just drive wheels being changed,
it is acting up now I need to go through it and see what the issue is.
And then just last week my cutting torch had a burn back in it.
I look at these newer units but kind of hard to justify for me at this time.

Sorry about that. You are right Only 2 of 5 are Verified purchasers.

Amazon should have a Verified purchaser only version of their ratings.

More than a few grains of salt in non verified purchaser ratings.

That really does change the 206SI to a much more positive rating.

Really Hope this can be worked out for both parties.

Yes, I offered to accept a replacement and pay the difference in cost because Everlast has likely already exceeded their purchase cost of the machine. The first return was $62 shipping which I paid. They originally wanted $95 return shipping which Everlast ate the cost, then they prepaid shipping to return it the second time, even at a reduced shipping cost it must have been at least $50. That is $190 in shipping cost not including their technician cost for the first and now the second repair attempt. So if the technician took 2 hours each time to test and repair at normal shop rates of $90-100, add in $400 more dollars. So lets add that up $400+190= $590 for a machine that sells for $666 to the public. Everlast is way in the hole on this job not even including any parts replaced.

On warranty----------
I often wonder about 'lifetime warranty'
Who's life? Mine or the item?
And if said item dies does that mean the warranty also died?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recently had an electric blanket fail that I only used but a few days.
OK, it is NIB but out of warranty only in that I bought at a yard sale so no retail invoice.
It did work but as I said it did work briefly.

After locating their web site I tried to post some ??s stating all known facts hoping for diagnostic advice.
My tests proved OK many facets and thought I knew which component/sub assembly was faulty.

Finally 3 days later a reply saying go to repair center with no reply to my ??s.
They even suggested where and which authorized center to avoid as not all could repair blankets.

I did finally contact by phone a recommended warranty dealer hoping for some tips.
The factory warranty dealer told me that there were absolutely no repair parts available nor ever had been.
In other words toss it out!

Than goodness I used the phone as otherwise I'd have been well out of pocket due to travel distance.

I always was aware that most failures would occur during first 10 hours or so of operation.
For that reason I never take extended warrantees.

Yup!
I agree!
Extended warranties are a seller extra profit gimmick.
