Look at Kubota filters..... WIX makes a 11 micron filter for Kubota, if it "fits" it should be just fine, MF manual say on 1700 series to use a 10 micron filter....

Honest question: For as infrequent (generally) as we need to change the hydro filters, what is the heartburn against buying the AGCO filter? When I reached my 1st change interval, I just went to my dealer and bought 2. So I only need to go back to them every 500 hours or so. Even at full MSRP is it not cheap insurance to have the right filter size, quality, filtration media?
Most are probably looking for a better price. The OEM filter is, like all MF parts overpriced. Even if you only buy it occasionally, it's still a rip off.
The rest are looking for availability. Many are not close to a MF dealer. Getting it at NAPA can be a lot easier.
Yes, we know we can order it from some places online.
To expand/confirm points on this. Price is more than just the item and, by itself, isn't worth crying over. However, When a company makes it difficult to find a cross reference and I still need to drive 1 1/2 hours with the cost of fuel and drain on time for a non-optimally priced filter its that much more expensive and quite inconvenient besides. Most are probably looking for a better price.
