What is the Bay Area wind doing now?

Here north of SF - not much. Calm with a couple of harsh momentary gusts in the middle of the night.

The Weather Underground personal weather station a half mile from me reports:

Wind Gust 20.8 mph -- 5.4 mph

However, the PGE power outage map shows power down, over on the next road over from me. It's outside the planned outage so there must be a line knocked down somewhere.

yikes. that is one advantage here i guess, between the fires around here its around 400,000+ acres and around 7000 people including 4 or so towns.

The tree lined business corridor has fallen limbs as far as I can see... no trees down but fences down

Official report is winds reached 90 mph and humidity as low as 3% SF Bay Area.

Of concern was the odor of smoke in the air this afternoon. Source maybe grassfire 35 miles upwind.

Generators off at 10 pm and back on at 5 am if needed.

3 homes almost normal living on one 5k Watt generator... of course no AC and natural gas for the heavy lifting.

I saw a news broadcast about the CA fires and the WIND......that wind is WAY bad.
