To be proficient I need to fly a couple times a week.

Anything less and I'm shaking like a leaf on the controls. Now add a drone change and I'm a mess....

Music on a video has to be carefully selected. My drone friend Francis in France does it the best. Usually elevator music. :)

Well I won't let you fly my RC planes then. LOL Might be a bit fast for you.... (They are only about 60 MPH.)

Never play with another man's toys!!! :)

The speed doesn't bother me as much as the close proximity to disaster. :)

Here is the Calmato maiden flight. Not a real good video but my old friend took it and even after explaining where the camera lens was, he had his finger over it most of the time so I had to cut most of the video out. :( I will get some decent video when someone becomes available then I can look back when I am old and decrepit. (oh, I am old and decrepit now) 14cc petrol 4 stroke engine.

Nice landing on rough ground. My old powered glider liked to glide just above the ground until it found a bush to stop it.

Nice pic!!!!

Friday I took some pics and video of a neighbor's house building project with the E2P. Even though I'm only a few hours into piloting this Drone I am very excited about it. Handling is improved. Controls are logical.

Was a very bright sunny mid-day. Camera was on auto settings. I think the pics would have benefitted from some camera adjustments or maybe a ND Filter. I'll experiment more and report back.

Pics appear a bit "washed out" to me.

Yep, ND filters will help much on those bright contrasty days. You can also play with your images using a post processing software and messing with its histogram.

I think I'll invest in a set of ND filters. Amazon has them for $60. I'll take some comparison pics and post them here.

Many times I shoot pics and videos and give them to the people I'm shooting for at the same time.

Thanks Mark.

Nice photos all the same. Thanks for sharing.
I hope he doesn't get too much dust off that road like we do here and our house is further back than that.

^^^^^^
That's what calcium chloride is for spread flakes or pellets and it will suck up the moisture and hold the dust down.
Might be a bit corrosive but seeing as how oil is not looked at favorably any more.

At least he's on the North side.....

We get prosecuted if we spray oil on the road. No corrosion problems here so don't want to start them. LOL

The road commish uses well brine here. Stuff is worthless except for killing the roadside vegetation. Lasts maybe a week tops. I prefer CACL myself and I get 50 pound bags of flakes to spread in front of the farm because, like I said, the brine is worthless.

Bunker oil has to be the best dust containment substance known to man.... and it undercoats your vehicle nicely too.

There are some polymers that are supposed to be longer lasting and better the calcuim one of these days I may break down and try some of them.

There's a guy that sprays for dust control around here. Don't have a clue what he uses. It works very well.

I flew mine for the first time in several months and I was bad. I taped a fishing line to the bottom and flew it around a tree and back so I could attach some parachord and then pull an antenna line. A bit of precision work and I was worried my fishing line would foul a prop and bring the drone down. No fail but but (yeah studdering) I was very nervous and struggled with my left/right and yaw.

I really like this idea. I was thinking I could fly some fishing line around a high branch I want to bring down in a controlled way, then I could use the fishing line to pull a nylon rope, and then a chain with the nylon rope. I've done sketchier things, but I have lots of high dead limbs I want to get down. Hmmm...

When the wind dies down I'm hoping to try the same using a Mavic Mini and 50lb mono rubberbanded to the belly for the first stage. Anybody else tried it?
