Well I went looked a Bransons pdf spec sheet;
So apparently your range shifter is an in line shifter and not a h.

You say you are getting gear grinding on the range shifter,
The range shifter is not synchronized, so you should be stopped for that shift.
Your 4 speed gearbox is synchronized so it should shift nicely while rolling.
And then your shuttle is synchronized so it can be shifted while moving,
I would not recommend that as then you are using your clutch as a brake as well as a clutch.

If when trying to shift the four speed gearbox it feels spongy and does go nicely into gear,
it may be your clutch not releasing fully.
If when you are stopped in gear and trying to change the range selection you are getting gears to grind
to me that would be clutch adjustment.

Forcing the synchronized gears if the clutch is not fully releasing will wear the synchro's out.

Glad you figured it out.

My 3725H's range shifter is tricky. The gears are tight. It sometimes does not fully engage in a gear, and when that happens the shifter does feel loose, because it's not in a detent. I figured out that a bit of HST pedal when I know it's not in gear, letting off before I try to shift, can reposition the cogs and get them to line up. You could do the same thing with the clutch with the trans in gear (the range trans is behind the main trans). Just let off the clutch before you shift so the gears don't grind.

It's not a transmission that can be shifted while in motion.

Glad it is moving again! The only thing I would add to what others suggested is I rarely need to change range. Most of the time B works good for me. I usually can find a good ground speed with the 4 gears on the right. I do go to A when needing to do a hard pull or to mow my ditch out.

For snow removal, I would think A would be a good range but have zero experience with snow. When I park it, I leave it in gear and just put the shuttle in neutral. I haven't taken my Kioti out of low range in a long time.

Glad it is moving again! The only thing I would add to what others suggested is I rarely need to change range. Most of the time B works good for me. I usually can find a good ground speed with the 4 gears on the right. I do go to A when needing to do a hard pull or to mow my ditch out.

I'm just the opposite of you. I change range and gears all the time.

Specially when tilling the orchards. I go either A2 or A3 to till in the first strip, then have to come back in reverse in B2 or B3 for the next strip, then go back to forward in A2 or A3 to till again.

I think that's part of the reason why all my gears just fall into place so nice and smooth after 250 hours. It was a lot harder when it was brand new.

Great point! It is so easy to assume everyone uses their tractors the same way. I can definitely see how in your case that makes sense.
