A similar pic. This is my Grandfather, Great Grandfather's Son, proudly displaying his team and fancy buggy. At the time my Great Grandfather bought his car, this type of team/buggy was the common form of transportation. What a transition to have lived with!!!! And where would my Great Grandfather get the knowledge to keep the ole Model T running?

I had a friend who raced a lot back in the 60's and 70's and he wanted to see how quick the '69 was. I already had headers on it and 4.56 gears, so we did some tuning and adjusting, and he was able to turn a 12.52 ET at 106 mph at the local drag strip.
Yes, I'll start a thread when I get started putting it back together. It's going to be quite a project.
I'm still torn on what color to paint it, the body tag shows that it was originally Cortez Silver, which I really like too.
While we're on the subject of grandparents and cars, etc., Here's a picture of my maternal grandfather, on the left and his brother with their Harley's. Not sure when this was taken, but I would guess late teens or early 1920's.
Very cool pic! I've never seen sheets quite like the ones on those horses. Is that to offer some protection from the flies?
You're probably correct. I had a '70, and knew all of the differences at one time, but that's been...50 years ago.
Since we're discussing cars. This pic is of my Great Grandfather that immigrated from Germany in 1898. First car he ever owned. Possibly only car he ever owned.![]()
