I like that chain idea!!!! Never saw that before!!!! Thanks for the pics ptsg!!!

This is one for a tractor, but it's also using chains and it's dealing with rocks too. I couldn't find a video of one on a excavator.

You can get an idea on what these things can do.

I have already rented 2 minis already this year for footings and digging out rocks, but those prices would probably be more than ownership. Rent that Vio for 2 weeks is 2400. Rent chipper head for 14 days is $10,500. Total $12,900.
If I'm not mistaken, the same size machine could be purchased with a good chipper head for under 40k. Thats about $800/month or $9600/year with nothing down. Plus you own it, get to use it whenever you want as long as you want. The $3,300 saved easily pays fuel, insurance and then some.
Now the Torrent mulcher head is a really nice piece, but I dont need anything that nice.

Yes, thanks.
Can you show us how? That would be great.

One thing to think about as far as the rotary brush hog type for field edges is the size and amount of limbs and wood chunks that get tossed way out in the fields,
then lay there waiting for the diskbine.

The machine is included at $750 per day with the head but I agree renting sucks. I’d way rather buy.
