Your feelings stem from your belief systems and those are programmed as you would a game boy. I too, would have bet money, in my earlier days, that my feelings stemmed from my "core" being, and were in fact "ME" or who I truly was. It's simply not true. Almost all people are so wrappd up and invested in who they think they are.

At least as far as I know and I'm not a gambler. I will never stop learning and doing as long as I can  :drink:

As such, I am a bit selfish... but I know if I am not happy, I will not make people around me happy.

Dang it, wish I'd said that. :)

It's my belief that those who's job is their lives struggle with retirement. My job is how I afforded my life. Retirement was a very pleasant experience with no down side. Nine years later it's still so.

I disagree... I came before my belief system was in play, or founded. I also had many feelings prior to finding my belief system; once I did find it, hone it, and put in in place in my life, my feelings towards many things changed... I am a better me now, than before, having found my belief system.
My belief system (whatever that is) continues to evolve as I learn.

There is probably nothing more important.

You sure that is not your ego speaking?

^ above directed at Industrial Toys and your response to it. I think it is very deep, my reply.

Stems from "find your mind". If you care to google that.

My reply was tongue in cheek... God's reply to Moses when asked who he was...

I am always cheered up, happier and feeling better, stronger and healthier when around people who are cheerful, full of life and optimistic about our future. Being around people who are constantly griping and complaining about everything makes me so depressed that I actually start thinking about my aches, pains and problems. Unfortunately it seems as you get older you are much less often around the ones who make you feel so much better.

I have found that the more cheerful and optimistic that you are, the better chances you have of being surrounded by others of the same dispositions.

Being around laughter of happy children can roll back time.

That said it also seems the young at heart often pass too soon.

Well that is sort of depressing, I guess depending on your point of view. Maybe you are just trying to wax philosophically?

Monks set fire to themselves as a political demonstration, not because it's just an experience and they can ignore the pain.

IT, I'm fairly certain, that people can make you happy or sad. If not, I feel sorry for those people as it would be wasted energy to feel sorry for you. :confused2:

So that's the punch line! Guy once told me that a 1968 Buddhist Monk got the world's worst gas mileage!

Consciousness moving around at the speed of light is pretty darned efficient.

I guess it's why the CIA (Operation MK Ultra) had remote viewers looking at stuff rather than sending people out to look.

Yul Brynner, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen and others are in the Western Channel right now. The Magnificent Seven. Only seen it a hundred times or so but too lazy to look for something else.

As punishment I did determine that Dragoneggs is now 60 years and 111 days old. Happy 60/111 Dragon!
I thought you were saying that Dragon was a badder hombre than all of those put together and you wanted a signed copy of his picture for your wall. :)

I'm almost 56 and I can see my weekly full court basketball games will be coming to an end before I hit 60.
