Okay, the mechanic is a gorilla. Be thankful the dealer stands behind the work. Not all would. You've got a good one.
Bingo.
Actuallly, I'm surprised.

Yeah, like others here, i`m surprised they bothered to even go the extra mile to come get the tractor and fix it.
There is more stupid out there than people really think, and they work on your cars and trucks, too!
I`ve worked in MANY a dealerships thru the decades, i can sure tell you ALL some horror stories i`ve witnessed. And i do mean some real bad horror stories.
Sometimes, IF, you can find a decent dealer, sometimes some stuff can be overlooked and maybe just let it go, but sometimes, there are things you CANT just let go. Been there and done it.
There are good and bad dealership`s out there everywhere, just have to figure out how much stupid you can really deal with.
I agree. The dealer could have told me to go pound sand.
If he were to offer to give me the part.... I'd be happy to install it myself. I don't think it's too awfully hard.
Yes, I do appreciate the fact they are willing to man up and fix it.
That's why I've been using them for 20 years.......
Plastic on tractors is a BAD idea,.....but it's cheap !!!
That cover shouldn't need to come off to replace the safety switch. Possible it wasn't the guy that worked on it but maybe the delivery driver?
Something that noticeable I would doubt the tech would try to pretend it didn't happen and rather catch it before it went out the door, it does take some force to break that plastic too.
