It will likely slow down some after Dec 7th, BUT there is still the "test drive period" where if you have "buyers remorse" on the Medicare advantage plan you bought, you can change to a different one, so there is that, and if you are a "dual eligible" (qualify for Medicare AND Medicaid) or have a "life changing event" you are still eligible to make purchasing decisions. So there will still be advertisements to try to catch these.
The thing that toasts my toast is old Joe screaming about the "give back benefit" to entice people to call. Not very darn many people will be eligible for the "give back benefit" which means they won't be taking your part B premium out of your Social Security check. You have to be a "dual eligible" and that means you have to qualify for Medicaid. And not many of us can qualify for Medicaid. You have to give up any assets and have practically no income or "spend down" your assets for your health expenses or write a check to your state government each month. In my state the maximum income you can have is $885 monthly, all sources combined. So as you can see, qualifying for Medicaid is not a good thing. You must be destitute. But ole Joe wants you to believe his plan is some kind of miracle benefit, and what with the Covid and all this "uncertainty" and all, you need to be getting every thing you "deserve". What a huckster, what a fraud, what a phony. But people will call, looking for that "benefit", and put themselves in the position of listening to a high pressure salesperson (yes licensed insurance agent) try to convince them to "pick me, pick me, pick me" and sign up for their plan. I guess Joe has to get his "biscuit" somehow, and being a shill for an insurance company is as good as any. Sure do get tired of the SOB though.
