Actually that is an Emu, NOT an ostrich. Ostrich's live in Africa, Emu's live in Australia. Of course both species can be found in captivity all around the world.

And that is the LIMU Emu. Where LIMU pronounced Lee-Moo is the "poster bird" for LIberty MUtual insurance.

And as far as I am concerned, they have "just about" worn out the LIMU thing as an ad.

AFAIK...Neither Joe or the stupid sign guy are NOT actually selling anything...both of those high volume commercials are for a call in service that sells/ subscribes supplemental policies...i.e., they are NOT selling insurance...they are trying to get medicare eligible peeps to call the service that do sell insurance for any number of different underwriters...

Technically these policies are NOT supplemental insurance policies either, they are "Advantage Plans" also known as Part C plans. Not to be confuse with Supplements which are entirely different.

Thanks for the correction. I'm beyond "just about". For years whenever any of those irritating LIBERTY LIBERTY LIBERTY ads appear, I instantly switch to a different channel or fast forward the DVR. Would be a cold day in He|| before I'd ever buy insurance from that company! :talktothehand:

I know. I feel the same way. You get so tired of their commercials, you make a mental note to never have anything to do with that company. They just never know when to quit.

Not in the insurance world they are not. No insurance agent will ever refer to a Part C as a supplement or a supplement as a Part C advantage plan. They are totally separate in concept and purpose.
