Good morning!!!!

Haven’t caught up yet.

Woke up to pretty good rain in low 30s. Got .9” in all. Worked some at home waiting for the rain to lessen. Still raining good when I did go, and it turned to snow. Lots of water on roads, cars going too fast, some paid the price. One got smashed pretty good, it was on other side, must have rolled. Another guy in the medium facing backwards. Think he was still cleaning his pants.

Temps went down, then back up to 37° after it cleared up. We had snow on the ground, but it melted before I got home.
Another long day.
Have to go to NoVa tomorrow, down Rip’s way to Fairfax.
Already told them I won’t be in We’d in the snow.
Son went to the church building to utilize better internet to take a couple of finals today.
I just quit work at 9 pm.

Now to see what everyone else is up to.

Kyle is correct about Weikel's Bakery in La Grange. I stopped there, on Friday morning, for some sweet cheese kolaches and some sausage, jalapeño, and cheese.

Texas Toast. Many ways to make it but .. we've found the quick way is the "frozen" toasted in the air fryer at 400° for about 5 minutes. GD Maddie prefers Texas Toast .. over regular toast / jelly.

There's another brand of frozen but "New York Bakery Texas Toast" .. just seems wrong. (No offense Lou).

Rick, HEB has it wrong too, they are using french bread to make garlic toast and call it Texas Toast.....although I love garlic toast too....especially with Italiano food.
your pot of stew looks good.

Yes sir.... That was similar to my first time at a brisket. I invited all the kids over. So we were figuring on 10 of us. Well I misread, had a brain fart and underestimated the time for it to smoke.

I had an "underestimated smoke time" caused by frigid weather, which made me have to put it in the oven. WARNING- Finishing smoked meat in your oven will make your whole house smell like brisket, etc....Even if you use a dutch oven. I KNOW, it nearly got me a divorce.

Drew, I’m a big fan of Loctite PL premium urethane construction adhesive. I dispense it with a Makita cordless caulk gun and use these-
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Core-Gear-Caulk-Plug/4068073
to save the tube for the next use. I’m pretty sure that I showed it to you when you were here.
It’s a real hand saver.

You and RNG with all the cool Makita toys. Color me green eyed. LOL.

Good Morning TBN!

Big week for me. My 3rd Divorce should happen this week...

Won't be doing that again...

Moving on...

I made a minimal update on the Remodel of MossFlower thread.
Be well all!
David

Saving this post, in case you try to get crazy again.

I use SupplyHouse.com too.

1.28” of rain since 7, no sign of stopping, about 44°.

Doctor said other than the kidney issue all my blood work was fine. Both doctors think I’m too dry and I’m cutting one med and drinking more water, retest in about a week.

more prayers. Drink water, make sure no infection too.

Fired up wood stove that had gas logs in it. I am warm. But will cost a few extra buck for gas.
Ron, hope you get it fixed easy enough, and glad you have backup. Prayers for your son. Thank you for the pictures. Enjoy them.

GT80: Rings now saying delivery on 17th....cutting close before Christmas.

Last night, it was blowing up to 50mph and cold. Did not have to put any roof top chickens in coop, they all went in on their own. Tonight, cold, going to freeze but no wind....4 out of 8 chickens on the roof. Picked them up 1 at a time and threw them through the door......shut the door and locked it. Have a heater inside for them. Still getting eggs.

prayers for our team.

30F and mostly cloudy @ 23:00, headed down to an overnight low of 25F.

Sunflower tube feeders, squirrel, and deer feeder refilled.

Emptied the debris canister on the vacuum ... after fishing out one of The Woman's socks out of the pipe that she inadvertently vacuumed up (the morning drama ...)

Finished assembly on tile saw. Table seems tight (meaning no slop or play) Still need to verify the blade is square/perpendicular to the table and dial in the laser. Forgot to bring top combination square earlier, will grab it when I take the downstairs cat her midnight snack ... which will be shortly.

Scanned a document I need to send off for review.

Got shower seat cut down from 30" to 24" by running it through the table saw, cut through the little bit remaining with the jig saw. Then got the two sides with the cuts ground close to flush with a flap disc in an angle grinder, and cleaned that up with the orbital sander.

Measured for the twisted stud that needs replaced: 92 1/2". Took the 2 x 4 downstairs to trim it down on the miter saw ... then measured it to know how much to trim off: 92 1/2" ...

DOH !

Went ahead and took 1/32nd off just to be sure and to clean up the end. Can always sneak a drywall shim in if need be.

Removed second fixture in hallway to be replaced while The Woman was out doing the grocery shopping. And a little Christmas shopping from the looks of it:

Zoom Rotating Laser Cat Toy by PetSafe - PTY-16494

That Little Squeak meows at the toy every time it's turned on (and goes after the light), Missy was utterly fascinated by it (but didn't move off the couch), and Mister seemed somewhat alarmed and didn't quite know what to make of it ... he eventually slunk off back to the bedroom ... right now he's wandering around with his string, back arched up and meowing, rather pitifully ...

After she got back and we unloaded I ran to HF and grabbed some batteries and then swung by Ace Hardware and grabbed a tube of Lexel.

Dumped a bag of trash into the can out at the road on the way out and filled up The Woman's car on the way back.

Shower fixtures arrived in Middleburg Heights, OH about an hour ago ... so might get those tomorrow (which would be good), white bullnose tile is "In Transit" in Mesquite, TX, and the black accent tile shows "Shipped" in Edison, NJ.

All in all, a fairly decent day ... even if I wasn't able to clear all the undone stuff off the list.

Hope everyone had a great day ...

2020-12-15, 0300

28 right now...and then a cool down as the "high" temperature will drop to the low to mid-20's. The low tonight will be a bone-chilling 5 degrees.
Our snow forecast is really been up and down...initially 8", down to an inch, back up to 3-4 inches. Looks like PA, northern NJ and NYS (and city) will get the brunt of the storm...
I think I'll bring my laptop home the next few days...don't really want to drive 50 miles (that my daily drive, one way) in heavy snow...also, I'd like to ensure I get home!

You guys in the mid-Atlantic states...be safe!!!

Good morning, the temperature is 3°F and the high will be 9. Wind NW 6 mph. Sunny!
Tonight will be the first of the forecasted minus temps for this season. -6F

North Bay today, 10 stops. Should be home by 2 P.M. This trip was originally for cat litter only, 6 40lb bags of it.
I can only get this stuff from either North Bay or Huntsville (Pet Smart) or down in the city. If I know we are low, then I will get it in the city and haul it home, but I didn't find out until I got home and am not making a special 3-4 hour trip one way to get it, when NB is only 45 minutes up the road.

My compliment of cats is back up to six with the arrival of two kittens that were born in someones garage. The hard part was done, weaned and house trained.
Named them Spot and Grayson. Spot is the smaller of the two and he has already bonded to me. Grayson is a little more stand offish but really likes his chin scratches.

Have a safe day all

Drinking first cup of coffee. 16° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 30° with some clouds in afternoon. Did not get much done yesterday. Furnace stated putting out cold air again. Fired up wood stove that now has gas logs in it. House is 69°. Comfortable enough until furnace guy gets here tomorrow morning. Hope he has parts.
The get away.

RS, I did all the kitchen, bathroom and Livingroom remodels 10 years ago. I enjoyed doing it. But it was a lot of work.

MFW, I have watched those guys that climb like that. Definitely not my thing. 8' of the ground is to high for me.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.
