You can do it yourself. I am doing this on our house. Been an on and off again project for a year or so. Very doable. Pressure treated wood is expensive and well we go high grade quality.
Biggest issue for us was basically tearing off the front of the house down to studs and redoing all that. Messy hard work.
Working on decking now....looking for porch posts. No stores in my area have them. May have to go to your 610 lowes in the AM.
Looks like the central park or spotsy lowes is the only ones with any stock on porch post.

Lowes is very odd on inventory stock at stores. Sorry to say, but when I tried to get delivery of the decking, when they had it, I was ordering from the RT 17 store. The delivery fulfillment would come out of a Manassas store. Which did not have the stock. We tried to no avail, with both store managers and personnel to correct the issue. They could not figure it out.

I found some porch posts at the Home Depot. I may run and get them later.

Everyone is working on house fix ups around here. LOL.

David, good to see you're update. Paved is so nice, make sure to get your bit sealed in a year or so so it stays that way and you'll be happy for years.
Any way I could borrow that roller, would make it easier to patch my driveway

Hello all my TBN buddies!

Everything takes longer than it takes, and as I learned in the Army, "No plan survives first contact with the enemy".

I am making progress. I've found and fixed a few electrical issues. I've had a tree service clear all the limbs threatening my house or pool, this should also allow more grass to grow.

I've commissioned "As Built" plans so I can modify them for permits & construction etc.

Thus far though I've failed to come up with solid remodel plans for the Master Bath/Guest Bath/ Closet situation which is where I believe I need to start this process...

Need less to say I am frustrated at twiddling my thumbs...

Added a few pics from the tree service dude. He is amazing...

Be well all,
David

MFW, progress is anything moving forward. Take it one day at a time.
Always amazed at tree guys climbing up like it was nothing. I have more trouble getting up a ladder :)
Now you have some firewood too!

We have 25 or 30 fan palms that are up to 50' tall and the trimmers climb them to trim them up. Amazing skills as I've seen them jump from tree to tree with full gear and chain saw in hand.
