Good morning!!!!

Both deliveries were waiting on me when I got home and thank goodness there were no porch pirates in the neighborhood. The propane heater was stuck into the delivery box, but it was too big to fit so the lid was left open and a couple of plastic bags were half ***** stretched over it to try to keep it dry. So the uncovered middle of the box got wet in Sunday's rain, and there was water in the parcel box, too. That was the handy work of the FedEx guy. The UPS man went him one better, leaving the chainsaw in plain sight behind the gate post, but it had only been there a few hours by the time I got home around 3.

You need to think about upgrading ... from a delivery box ... to a delivery shed ... :D

Glad your trip went well ...

Good morning, the temperature is 3ーF and the high will be 9. Wind NW 6 mph. Sunny!
Tonight will be the first of the forecasted minus temps for this season. -6F

Definitely a tad chilly there.

North Bay today, 10 stops. Should be home by 2 P.M. This trip was originally for cat litter only, 6 40lb bags of it.
I can only get this stuff from either North Bay or Huntsville (Pet Smart) or down in the city. If I know we are low, then I will get it in the city and haul it home, but I didn't find out until I got home and am not making a special 3-4 hour trip one way to get it, when NB is only 45 minutes up the road.

Have a safe trip.

My compliment of cats is back up to six with the arrival of two kittens that were born in someones garage. The hard part was done, weaned and house trained.
Named them Spot and Grayson. Spot is the smaller of the two and he has already bonded to me. Grayson is a little more stand offish but really likes his chin scratches.

Very cute kitties ...

Rswyan, you are likely much more precise than I, BUT, given my past experience I壇 never set the tile saw further away than necessary, downstairs, not likely if I can protect the area. While most cuts would be one and done, I have too much experience, cut, fit, cut, fit, and then after the 6th cut start over - too many trips

Yeah ... the inclination for downstairs was because out back is the one place outside where there is a working hose bib.

But the trips up and down the stairs would be painful and it would be easy enough to just set it up outside the front door in the entryway (seems light enough) ... and then bring it inside and wash it off in the main bathroom tub after I'm done using it.

Certainly won't be leaving it outside for any length of time at this point, with the low temps.

Maybe convert one of the bathroom supply to a temp hose bib?

Good afternoon! 43˚F misty dreary day. FireWise was canceled because the mulchers are on vacation. Tomorrow Park cedarcide is iffy, depends on the wind after the cold front blows in tonight.
Enjoying some oatmeal cinnamon, raisin, cranberry, date, pecan Christmas cookies I made yesterday - they won't last another day.
RS, 24" is the Height of the built in tile shower bench in the over 50 walk-in showers, I just measured ours.
RNG, like RS says you need a drop off shed.
. . .Owner showed off a new video he'd just made with Kathy Ireland, yeah, THAT Kathy Ireland, showing off the shop and his products. Apparently it'll get passed around to her associates, and since her modelling carrier, she's become something of an entrepreneur catering to a rather wealthy client base. Gotta love Hollywood!
Truck rode nice and smooth with almost a ton in the bed, . . . .
How many editions of Sports Illustrative make a ton?

Harvested the last of the backyard lemons and kumquats so it's time to make the marmalade.

UPS just dropped off the shower valves ...

Got away before I could give his Christmas tip ... :(

Maybe convert one of the bathroom supply to a temp hose bib?

I have an adapter fitting that goes into a sink faucet in place of the normal aerator that provides a hose connection.

Biggest problem with using it for an outside hose would be have to have a door open (potential cat escape)

Thanks ... I had read that 19" was the minimum for ADA compliance ... but I don't know if that is actually accurate.

The Woman is pretty short ... so the final height will be her call.

Don, what a marvelous haul.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations in excess of 12 inches along with ice
accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

oh what a beautiful morning
oh what a beautiful day
Some really nasty weather is coming
but Mr Generator will save the day

it started right up on a 30 pounder and when the breaker was switched, the cellar lights came on.
Switched it back and everything back to normal.
Nice when it works first time. Probably helpful afternoon sun was shining on propane tank.
Now I have to build the somewhat elaborate cover/tent which entails a great number of parts.
My motivation level was inadequate and it became another day project...
So for this snowstorm it's only going economy blue tarp. I hope it doesn't take offense.

Had a nice visit this morning with my ex-wife and gave her a birdhouse.
Santa's sleigh is going here and there,
socially distanced for sure.
Tomorrow to my MIL and home before the snow I hope
though I wouldn't mind if it just started...

All the roads were heavily salted this morning so my car is already slimed.
Owner of local car wash smiling I'm sure. But they called me and left a message to call them
about my detail appointment on Thursday. The appointment they are going to cancel I'm sure
as it will have just stopped snowing then so the salt trucks
will be out in force. Salt and grit.
yup, I think Mother Nature's doing me in here.

I looked at the photo of the tarp, Drew, and tried to imagine it with 12" of snow on it. Seems it would be a PITA to get to the valve on the bottle under all that snow, but the tarp would at least keep it off the genny. You'll prolly need a shovel to clear space around it, once running, it would probably melt whatever snow was around it.

What really caught my eye, though, is that there's no lock and chain on it to keep it from sprouting legs. Lots and lots of folks around here have lost their generators to someone else's sticky fingers.:irked:

Back from the Bay and other than an oversized load trying to squeeze me off the road as I was passing him there was nothing to talk about.
There was another truck that was wandering all over the road on the way up, the first chance I got I was around him as fast as I dared, about 90 mph. Better he screw up behind me than in front.

The senior cats, all 4 of them are very curious as to what the new smells are in my bedroom. All the interior doors in this house are 'dutch doors' and have a hole in the bottom for the cats. When I am home the cat hole is open for the kittens to venture out. We did this when we had the Lab cross so she couldn't molest the cats and gave the cats an escape route.
