I HAD........... Thats sounds like sad statement right there, I wish I had a lift in my garage just to change the oil, funny how when I was lot younger crawling under a car wasn't so bad, now I dread it. One of my long time car mechanics use to work in his a small shop with no lift, now for the past 8 years he dont know how he ever did a thing on a car years ago.

I think this place neer me just sprays the under side where rust really attacks a car's structure. Right now my 2018 Cherokee is like new underneath so I want to have something done to make it last after its paid for, hopefully it will be the last vehicle I buy........
Along with undercoating it seems like we need an attachment on the pressure washer to really hose down the undercarriage every time we go out on days like today.

I think they do the rocker panels and doors but I'll have to ask when I make appointment this week.

I use to work for Bryant Stoves 40 years ago, think they close down 3 years ago right after the original owners past.

That private museum of theirs was a precious little time capsule.
Over some years, I bought three stoves from them.

I didn't read all 9 pages here so maybe someone already mentioned this- on another message board about cargo vans, a member reported that some fleet operations "post a bond" instead of buying conventional insurance. His point was that insurance companies require reporting repairs to Carfax, but a vehicle that was damaged while owned by a fleet may be flying under the radar.

A lot of companies carry high deductibles on their own fleet and even if the damage exceeds the deductible, unless its a lot, they just pay out of pocket and keep their claim frequency as low as possible.

Most states require an accident form to be filled out for over a certain amount... but that's only on public property. Most dealers here also have a form to be filled out stating whether the mileage is accurate, and declaring any major damage. What the insurance company doesn't know doesn't hurt them, yet they still seem to find out when something happened. I had a tree fall on my company truck one day while driving down the road, when my personal truck insurance came up for renewal my agent called asking about "the accident last fall."

Right now I am in the process of assisting my daughter look for a replacement for her 2004 Grand Cherokee. We're looking for a 2014 to 2018. Yesterday, via internet,I made nine inquiries and received a carfax report on each. Seven of them listed previous collision reports or insurance claims. As there is no specific information about these, these seven were quickly and easily discarded. We will now have a look at the remaining two and check them out thoroughly. Carfax saved us a ton of time and effort weeding out the unwanted ones.

It’s a good idea to pay attention to when those reports were ran and I would even run my own when it was narrowed down to the final one or two vehicles.

And check Home | VehicleHistory

I put my 2007 GMC truck into the CarFax system to see what it is worth. It has about 55K miles on it but CarFax said it has over 80K miles. Where'd that come from?
