I just want access to the Starlink network, but I can't get a response out of them. I finally figured out that Gmail is blocking emails from Starlink (which is why I never got an acknowledgement when I tried to register). Switched to a non gmail account and got an acknowledgement, but have not heard a peep since. The 7 Mbps down / 1 Mbps upload speeds that are the max available in my area are driving me crazy (especially with 2 kids doing online school 2 days/week).

Do yourself a favor by ditching Gmail for an alternative.

There is a lack of Starlink transparency re the public beta test but that's understandable. At this point in time they are focused on product development rather than public relations. Starting in the 2021 Jan/Feb time frame the public beta test will expand southward and may cover the entire USA. Patience is a virtue, even if you don't get a beta test invite, by the end of 2021 (likely much sooner) the testing will be over and normal business/customer relationships will ensue.

Keep in mind the full rollout is years away. There are 11,000 more satellites to be launched. That will require a fleet of operating Starships. There are ZERO at this point in time. Give them 5 years.

Not me. He's beginning to sound like a total whackazoid.

I'm with Diggin' on this. Tesla's a huge house of cards, no way is the company worth what its stock is selling for. The only thing driving the stock price is greed.
Not sure I'd call Musk a whackazoid, but I do consider him a big time huckster.

What do you recommend? Dunno how long they've been doing it, but Gmail requires a cell # in order to open an account now. No idea why, but there doesn't seem to be a way around it.

If you read up on him, he's reaaaalllyyyy out there. Not a stable person in my view.

Mail.com is OK, lots of choices of domain names. They nag a bit for upgrades, but not bad.

ProtonMail is OK, but the free accounts are a bit limited.

Outlook.com is OK, but acts goofy sometimes.
