Got my Woodland Mills WC-68 chipper delivered today!
Ordered it online Sunday (1/24/21) delivered to Michigan on Friday (1/29/21). Great service, will put it together tomorrow.
Have had our WC46 a couple weeks now. Really love it. It conserves MY energy in not having to lift stuff so high and to stand there until it slowly chips through. You really have to poke short stuff into the bottom of that roller though. Otherwise, they tend to bounce up and not feed. Chipping on a downhill slope caused a couple minor problems: 1) oil ran out of the cap; 2) the control bar tended to more easily go into neutral. Syphoned a half gallon of oil out (down to 4 gallons; no more can be syphoned out) to save some of the oil. Turned the control arm adjustment an half turn tighter. (located underneath either under a black or red cap pointing towards the tractor underneath the hydraulics. You unscrew the plastic, loosen a 22mm lock nut and turn a 6 mm allen screw clockwise to tighten things up).
Stuff put into the chute tends to go to the right side of the chute. Best to put stuff in from the left side of the chute to better avoid any stuff from rotating into you. I set the hydraulic feed at mid point. Fast enough for me and seems to work well on the JD 2025R. It just sits there loafing at 2700 rpm.
My old MacKissic TPH-122 is now happily running on a 3 series JD.
Our WC46 was ordered on a Friday and delivered to Va on a Wed. Got a $100 military vet discount, too.
Depending on the weight of your tractor, but the most thing to note is the weight of that thing off the 3ph. Yours will be even heavier than the 550 # WC46. The WC68 is 710 #. Don't go over any tree roots when going even slightly sideways on a slope. Could slip down the root and cause it to tip when it hits dirt again. Try to find a flatter area to turn it to take it back uphill.

Thanks for the advice Ralph, I guess maybe I should put 4 gallons of hydro fluid in it and check the levels.

I also got my WC68 in yesterday and today was assembly day. Hit one snag. Perhaps someone here can steer me in the right direction.
I am to the point of mounting the discharge chute. The directions say it should be installed with the rotator release pin on the tractor side. When I do that the 4 bolt holes don't line up. Close but no cigar. I tried getting even 1 in to see if that would help but I can't get a single bolt in. If I rotate it 180 degrees so the release pin is away from the tractor the holes line up fine
Suggestions? Does it really make a difference since you can rotate the chute?
