Retaining walls and patio

(removed) adopted this creative way of writing somewhere along the line...No harm, no foul I guess.

The purpose of TBN, and probably all discussion forum sites, is to share information and learn from each other. To state the obvious, that requires communication.

A more 'creative' way to say this follows. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. :)

Hi Muhammad - What made you choose pavers over stamped concrete for the patio?
It's my brother's house... pavers plus sand was about $4.50 per square foot and concrete was around $8 per sq ft for plain concrete.

We had a paver patio (20' x 20') at our last home and the biggest issue was moss growing between the pavers. Several times a year, I had to scrape the moss off (since pavers were 'my idea' :) ) We never found a herbicide that would kill the moss. At our new home, we opted for stamped concrete.

I also like stamped concrete. We have it on a 20x15 screened porch. It is amazing the color options and designs available. Very easy to clean.

I cannot remember the cost difference v.other outdoor flooring options but, at this point, it doesn’t matter anymore.

Supposedly using polymetric sand is a solution to the weeds... but maybe out in PA that doesn't work as well since the ground is freezing and thawing so much. We don't really get moss out here since it's usually so dry. Most paver patios I've seen are weed free.

Copper will get rid of moss.
On side note does (removed) disable spell check

"Polymeric sand, if installed properly, will harden to lock your pavers in place and create a more effective weed and insect deterrent while still allowing water to drain freely."

btw, If it's all that relevant, how would a guy know whether Canadian or Chinese sand is better for the job?

No, his speck check is just in a different language.

Spell check tells him it is spelled the way he wants it by putting a red line under it.

:D
