Ahhh, no.

Too bad. I could help you. Youre uptight from the mod thing :grumpy: You need to loosen up a little. :rotfl:

I just spent hours cleaning up the main road and driveway. Cleaned down to asphalt in many places. Also about 12 feet width cleared.
Wife still tells me not good enough... Neighbor and her family going back and forth just fine.

No thanks here. Learned just to keep my mouth shut.

Re: 1 yes I am, everyone here is so tense. You put personal info out there. A response wouldnt shock me  but one thing you didn’t mention was that she had no interest. That changes things a bit.
Re: 2 again, joking, but mildly serious. She does screw up a little here and there, but earns a nice living, so why get my nose out of joint about a $25 overdraw or a late payment here & there ? :confused2:
Re 3: again, jokingly, but I guess the 2 laughing emojis didnt clue you in :rotfl:

I enjoyed your post and felt it made a lot of sense. Sometimes free advice is worth what is paid but it also can be an eye opener. I had a friend having martial problems for years. His biggest problem was a lack of self awareness. He ended up divorcing and i felt it was his loss not hers.

My wife likes her new BMW. She will park way out in the far reaches of a shopping center parking lot to avoid door dents. Inevitably, she will come out and theres another car parked right next to hers, even though there痴 1200 other spaces to chose from.
It's not just BMWs, Subaru's attract cars too. I usually park a ways out, cause i can still walk and could really use the exercise. I'll come back to the car and sure enough, other Subaru's parked around it, out in the middle of nowhere.

I have never understood clearing snow on private property, unless it's so deep that the road is impassable. Just ignore it, and it will go away.

Would you bother to wash the dishes if they magically cleaned themselves?

Thanks. A guy I respect a lot told me a few things that made a lot of sense.
One was dont argue with the person, argue with their position.

“ Just ignore it “ around here and it turns to packed ice.
Youll end up on your azz

We can do that here at my elevation* but in many parts of the country what snow you get in October is still there in March so if you do not keep ahead of it you are snowed in.

*Those that live up higher in this state do not necessarily have that option. Our Mt Baker area has the record for the most snow in the world, 95 feet.
Mount Baker - World Record Snowfall.

I moved my GEO Metro convertible outside of my overhead pole shed door, just for a few minutes. Somehow I started up my 4x4 dually, opened up the overhead shed door and started backing up. Of course I glanced in the rear view mirror is time to see an antennae whip back and forth.

I got out and looked and the bumper rode up the front fender almost to the windshield. Never touched the hood. I dekrinkled it as well as possible and left it.

Fortunately a year later some lady in a crowded parking lot backed into the same fender and I was off the hook with my wife.

14" of snow is not going anywhere soon. When I was in NY, we had a bad ice storm, think it was '94. Those of use who did not clear the driveway and walk had a thick sheet of ice til April.

That's the rub. A 6" snow could be blown into a 2' tall drift in the driveway.

And then there is the whole liability thing with people slipping & falling.

My first wife was very headstrong and difficult at times. One day I tried reverse psycology on her and it worked!
I suggested that maybe we should get something. She said, no way. I said yeah, you are right we probably can do without it...
About 2 days later she decided it would be a good thing. But it was her idea.....
This worked on several occasions.
You just need to put the idea in their heads so they can mull it over. If it is their idea you can't go wrong.

You could try putting your finger on their lips whilst saying, "Sshhuuush."

I pity da fool that tries that with my wife. She’d beat the stuffing out of ya.

Wish me luck!
