I think it's one of those things you should learn, but don't, in school. Right up there with:
Be a people not a person.
Every authority, moral, cleric, civil, science, etc tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
And can be trusted.
And finally - guilt is wonderful.

These days I cannot win a discussion if my life depended on it. Early in our relationship it was more even, but as time went on if winning is who gets the last word, I win less and less to the point of no return. I just will not talk as much or as long and I guess and my logic does not count. On the good side, she could care less on what I spend on tractor equipment and I make all money decisions.

Win the war, not every battle.

I can tell thats the problem, right there. She probably DOES care what you spend, but isnt telling you. Thats probably why she gets the last word. And if you are making ALL the money decisions, it could manifest itself as passive/aggressive anger or having to get the last word. I have business to mind, so I have enough financial headaches. I let my wife run the personal finances, which she screws up royally, but then theres no blame for Hay Dude cause Mrs Hay Dude messed it up. :thumbsup:

1. Maybe you are joking, I assume you are because you do not know my wife and me to make such a detailed observation. I have tried to get my wife to care about money and even understand where I have it invested and she has no interest whatsoever.

Can't help but this thread reminds me of a joke I heard years ago. A man was walking down the beach in Cal. he discovered an aladin's lamp in the sand, he looked around to see if anyone was watching.
Then bent down and picked it up, strolled further down beach where he found cover, he thinking "what the heck" he rubbed it and sure enough a Genie appeared telling him he had 1 wish.
Always wanting to see Hawaii and would not get on a boat or plane, he then asked the Genie to build a bridge from Cal. to Hawaii, the Genie replied, master do you know how deep the Pacific Ocean is, that would be "impossible".

The Genie then asked if he had another wish, the men rubbed his face then asked Genie, can you help me understand my wife?. The Genie then replied, Would you like that 2 lane or 4 lane.
