I mounted mine with pin opposite the tractor, holes aligned and it is no problem. Probably could have mounted it the other way as well.

Thanks! I couldn't see a problem putting it facing the opposite side but you don't know what you don't know
It just won't line up the way the manual says.

I looked back to the assembly of my WC-68. I must have installed the discharge chute incorrectly because IIRC I had to reset it. I found this out when I tried to lift the hopper(infeed chute) back to it's resting place.......but the handles of the discharge chute were in the way. I don't recall the details but customer service corrected my assembly error.

I also got my WC68 in yesterday and today was assembly day. Hit one snag. Perhaps someone here can steer me in the right direction.

I am to the point of mounting the discharge chute. The directions say it should be installed with the rotator release pin on the tractor side. When I do that the 4 bolt holes don't line up. Close but no cigar. I tried getting even 1 in to see if that would help but I can't get a single bolt in. If I rotate it 180 degrees so the release pin is away from the tractor the holes line up fine

Suggestions? Does it really make a difference since you can rotate the chute?

Don't think it makes any difference and could not figure out why they supplied shorter bolts for one side vs. the other (on the WC46).

Thanks, good to hear, looks like Tuesday & Wednesday it will warm up to 35* F and be sunny. Hopefully I can get out then and try it out. I did run it in the garage today just to test the moving parts!

Chipped for about 6 hours the last 2 days, Plugged it up once and learned what I can and can't feed into it! Tightened the directional control valve a 1/4 turn because it was popping in to neutral too easily, worked much better today. Very happy with it so far!



PS: I bought the saw holder with it, the end of my 20" bar is about 2" above the ground. I wish I would have bought 2 of them so I could put my little Dewalt electric saw on the other side ($59. + $25. Freight) The saw holder is well built and adjustable, it has a rubber? pocket surrounding the bar. IMHO well worth the $59. If you order it with your chipper. (Free shipping!)

bigtiller, I second that thought!! I didn't even see that option when I got mine and I sure would like to have one also. It looks quite handy. Right now I just have my saw sitting on the ground. Works just fine but sure not as convenient! Enjoy chipping Underdog57. That chipper makes an awkward job fun to do!
