All those years telling horses that the dewormer didn’t taste so bad lol

Typical CYA statements.

The statements boil down to the fact that there have been no major studies on its use in this case, so since they can't prove that it is effective, they can't claim it is and have to say there is no proof that it works. There will be no major studies on this use because if they found out that it was effective, they would lose billions of dollars on the sale of their more expensive drugs.

I like the part where they show that people treated with ivermectin in a study had less adverse reactions than people treated with a placebo.

The percentages of patients with worsening of the following conditions at day 3, month 3 and 6, respectively, were: limbitis: 5.5%, 4.8%, and 3.5% and punctate opacity: 1.8%, 1.8%, and 1.4%. The corresponding percentages for patients treated with placebo were: limbitis: 6.2%, 9.9%, and 9.4% and punctate opacity: 2.0%, 6.4%, and 7.2%.

Re: Howç—´ Eddie?

Several Specialty Medical Providers such as Anesthesia Machines packed up lock, stock and barrel and are now doing business in Tennessee...
...
Someone asked me why do I think so many entertain moving... several things pop into mind... congestion, rules and regs... owning a little more land that would not be possible here... for business its the high cost of repeated business interruptions... etc. such as the wave of homeowner and business insurance cancellations going out now... I've thought about being self insured for fire and just carrying a liability policy...

There was an article in one of our local news websites about tech people leaving CA to come to my area of NC for the reasons you mention. I know someone who moved to San Francisco area years ago, we thought he was nuts, and now I wonder if he will move back to the east coast.

When you are required to get a permit for several hundred dollars to cut down a planted backyard Walnut tree sums it up?

Unfortunately, some towns/cities in my area require a permit to cut down a tree.

Mayor Sam of San Jose had an op-ed in the SF Chronicle lamenting all the jobs leaving... saying it's policy and litigation... no matter what you want to do seems it takes years to go through the process and expensive when anyone can stop you in your tracks filing a motion...

Here is a quote from today...

"More important, it evades harder questions. Policy choices got us here. We can change those policies if weæ±*e willing to do something other than blaming tech for them. The tech-resentful might cheer as companies depart, but after a year in which the Bay Area shed 360,000 jobs, we壇 do better to focus on solutions"

360K is a huge loss of jobs. Course, it is just going to get worse in the high tax, high cost, high crime, low livability, anti law enforcement cites/states. The good news is that the companies will move to other states with their jobs, including NC, but the bad news is that historically, these carpet baggers arrive from the scat holes they left and start up the same policies in the new location. This has been a major issue in my county.

Freedom and whatever that means...

And CA wants to tax people for a decade after they leave.:laughing::laughing::laughing: And if they have already left the state BEFORE the law was enacted.:laughing::laughing::laughing: Unreal that the idiots in charge think that would be legal....

Later,
Dan

Trees MUST be cut down if they are dead!
Everyone knows that!
If a tree drinks too much Glyphosate through small holes drilled in it's lower trunk, it can suffer death.
Ask me how I know!

Well my granduncle just passed last week, covid positive, but he was 98, so... His son has it too, he sounded like he's breathing underwater when I talked to him, but says he's feeling better.

Years ago while doing power line maintenance in NH, the power company rep was having problems with a landowner who didn't want a tree cut down. The foreman gave him a baggie of herbicide tablets to sprinkle under her tree some rainy night. I don't know if he used them but always thought that it was a sleazebag way of getting something done... either do it legally or not at all.

Glad to hear you are better. It is such a varied result for so many people. My daughter attends UT in Austin and called last Thursday to say she was positive. I got tested also last Thursday because I was a bit fatigued but didn't think anything of it. I wanted to see if I was positive so that when I went to get her, I knew if I had to be masked up or not. I ended up testing positive for both COVID and Flu! I honestly felt about 90% and continued working and exercising. My doctor gave me prednisone, Tamiflu and a Z-Pack. I retained my sense of smell and taste and it didn't hit me hard at all - YET. Hopefully I am over it. My daughter is fine also. She did lose her taste and smell and has been a little tired, but she is a college freshman. They are all tired!
I tell people that there is not a right or wrong answer when asked about Covid. It hits some people hard and others little if any at all. You can't use your own experience with COVID to project on someone else. It is like asking someone if Calculus is easy or hard. Depending on the person, it can be either!
