Comparison Mahindra 1626 vs. Kubota L2501 vs. Yanmar SA424 vs. Kioti CK2610

Just get set to wait on your EA Grapple. I called a couple of weeks ago. They were VERY helpful at helping me decide what grapple, but they are TWO Months out. Not too bad of a wait for a good grapple. I’m waiting for the equipment fund to be replenished. :confused2:

I'm not at familiar with the Mahindra and Yanmar, but I will note at least one spec that isn't a direct comparison on the Kioti and Kubota. The lift capacity for Kioti are listed at 1520mm pin height (approx 60in) where the Kubota is listed at the full 95in pin height. The Kubota is rated at 1431lbs at 1500mm pin height.
I couldn't find the lift capacity at full height for the Kioti, (I'm assuming you spec'd the 4030 loader).

Another thing to look at some you said you wanted a backhoe is the attachment method, I'm not a huge fan of the large subframe on the Kioti, it takes up quite a bitnif space when it's off and is a bit more difficult to mount up.

Went through this a couple years ago with a friend who was looking at a few different tractors and bought a Ck2610, its a nice machine and he likes it, but I definitely would rather have the Kubota backhoe mount.

Also while I feel the Kioti has a better loader joystick placement then the Kubota (I'm a fan of the fender mounted sticks) I felt the Kubota valve itself was much nicer/smoother to operate then the Kioti.

Just a few things to consider.

Don’t forget with the Kioti you also get to leave the draw bar and 3 point all attached with the backhoe on.

I did a comparison of the the Mahindra 1626, Kubota L2501, Yanmar SA424, and the Kioti CK2610. Overall it seems like the Kioti is the winner based on weight, lifting capacity, and PTO horsepower. Let me know if you see any mistakes! Of course, these are my local dealer prices in Central Virginia.

I do want to get a backhoe though, and the Kioti is quite expensive!

Make sure you sit on all the tractors and drive them. So many times, these types of paper/spreadsheet comparisons lead people in the wrong direction. Even comparing loader specs on paper is fraught with problems, since it won't always account for loader lift height or feel of the controls.

The Kioti dealer was out of stock on the 2610 when I stopped by. He said more are coming in this week. I'll get to test it out then.

Will this tractor have enough HP to drag a 5ft grader box full of stone up and down a steep driveway?

I was referring to the actual monting of the backhoe onto the tractor, and yes, having delt with both I would say the Kubota is easier.

You do bring up a point that I forgot to mention about having to remove the 3pt arms on the Kubota, although this only takes a couple minutes at most, now if you're switching between BH and 3pt constantly I could see it being an issue.

The drawback to being able to leave the 3pt arms on the Kioti is that it sets the BH further back lower which reduces the ground clearance and approach angle.

Once again not an issue if you work on fairly flat areas or have a pretty low angle trailer if you need to move it with the BH on. Just something to consider while you're looking

I have a friend with the same setup you're looking at, CK2610hst with backhoe. Overall he's been happy with it, seems well built and has only had a few little issues with safety switches malfunctioning. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one.

Power won't be a problem, just have to go a little slower. You'll most likely be traction limited, and depending on how steep a hill, might have to take smaller bites.

Having owned both myself, I repeat you are full of it!
It’s a tractor and the time and hassle of removing and reattaching the 3 point has to be considered.

Sorry this upsets you, just giving my experience and opinion on the 2 systems.
Its not a knock at Kioti, I like their backhoe itself, just wish it had a better mounting system.

I have a CK4010 with the KB2475L backhoe, have not had any issues mounting it to the subframe, and backhoe digging stress is distributed equally to all four points on the tractor frame. That tractor can really rock back and forth when your digging hard with a backhoe. Mounting takes just about 5 to 10 minutes, and the 3pt arms are not required to be removed.

Surprisingly, I purchased my backhoe for stump removal and found a stump grinder is overall best for that work....especially if you have 40 stumps to be removed. So starting May of last year I have been doing culvert installation with my backhoe, and already paid off the backhoe.
