Honesty

In today's society, many people demand that all people should say what is on their minds. You don't have to. Just say that your thoughts on a person are private and you wish to keep them that way. Two generations ago, most people didn't blab anything and everything that came into their heads. :muttering:

In todays society saying what's on our mind just may get you arrested.

Speaking the TRUTH will get you much the same.

I don't attend funerals sometimes in my own family. I am the last of 5 boys that is still alive. As the 2 oldest neared death, I went to visit them to tell them how they were loved and respected. I also told them that I would not attend their funerals as I had said directly to them while alive what was important and that is what mattered most to both of us. My third oldest brother died of a heart attack so I was not able to speak with him near the end. We did stay in touch up to his death. I did attend his funeral. My next older brother disappeared about 10 or 12 years ago. No one of the family or friends have heard from him since then. He was a free spirit traveling around the country on his motorcycle and l suppose he just died somewhere. Basic searches have turned up nothing and he never collected his social security.

Now for me. I told my wife that when I pass to cremate me, put me in a shoe box and bury me with the dogs. No memorial! She agreed.

The wife passed eleven years ago. As per her wishes - cremation and burial next to her favorite flowering cherry tree. I've told my son - cremate me and bury me next to the wife. Gather my friends and crack a keg of beer. I'll be happy - finally being with my wife again.

Honestly?...(Excluding all present company of course (>wink,wink<)...!
We definitely run across and have to deal with people that rub us the wrong way (hehehe) on terms long enough where you get to the point where you begin to wonder...just how bad can prison food be?...!

It’s not the food you need to worry about in prison.

Sorry for your loss, oosik. Thats really a nice thought.
My father passed in 2012. He asked us to sprinkle his ashes at a beautiful cliff guarded by hawks and Eagles. Similarly, my mother left us in 2015 and asked to be in the same place with my dad. I did the burial with my brothers and sisters. It felt special to grant their final wishes.
