How many tractors in your neighborhood?

12 home neighborhood, 3 have tractors. 1 of those skews the per home tractor average with 3 tractors, 2 dozens, and 2 excavators.
Neighborhood is encircled by farmland and those guys' tractors keep getting bigger & more numerous each year it seems.

I used to live in the surroundings of a small city and there used to be more tractors around me. Now, the city pretty much grew around me and I'm stuck almost in the middle of it.

Asides from me, I think only a neighbor has a tractor. It's a 2WD MF 240 that has been in his hands pretty much since new. If I had to guess, it has to have at least 8000+ hours on it. Judging by the smoke and smell, it must burn as much oil as it burns diesel but still going strong and still gets him going from his house to his piece of ground where he farms vegetables for his own use. He used to sell at a local market at some point of his life, but he is 85+ years old and doesn't do it anymore.

At some point in its life, it broke one of the final drives and spent years and years working with the diff lock engaged to keep the other wheel spinning.

Everybody on my road has at least one tractor. The neighbor with the smallest acreage(15 acres) is Amish and he has the most equipment. Another guy down the road owns about 300 acres, but he just has a small Kubota since he leases all the farm ground to a real farmer. Another guy down the road used a Ford 8N to plow snow. He called me the other day and said it wasn't running and he asked me to plow his drive.

Another interesting stat. If I push out to a mile the number does to crease all that much. But the variety in my neighborhood apparently is all over the map. 3 old Fords, 2 Kubota, 1 Yanmar, 1 MF, 1 JD.

Here we consider neighbor with in mile or so...got elbow room.

I'm not remotely a keeping up with the jones, yet every single neighbor has one one, figured there was a reason, i now own one. its glorious

We have 15 homes in the neighborhood—- largest tract is 80 acres and minimum is 15 acres. The average is about 50 acres. We have 3 miles of gravel roads to maintain.

Everyone has at least 1 tractor plus a zero turn.

Many have multiple tractors depending upon what they do with the land.

Most popular tractor is Kubota followed by JD.

HP varies also - mine may be the smallest at 35.

My 80 acres is merely a pimple on the azz of society out here. Land is divided into tracts. Normal tract size - 1200 to 2000+ acres. Cattle ranching and wheat farming is the name of the game.

Interesting to listen to people live on a 1/4 acre and others on 1200+. We’re all the same but all different.
