I drink Pepsi or Dr Pepper real sugar soda. Very hard to find Dr. Pepper sugar. We avoid anything with high fructose corn syrup.
So 55% fructose is bad and 50% fructose is perfectly fine (the choices with any/all soft drinks) and won't hurt anyone?
Check, and it's good to know where the cut-off point is.
C'mon, we can quit pretending we're avoiding something we eat every day and that's therefore (cane/real) already 50% fructose vs the dreaded 55% of HFCS in our soft drinks. Drink what you like, but don't be pretentious about it. Table sugar (cane, beet, 'real') is 50% fructose. Let's get a perspective on that.
btw, all 'white'/dry/'table'/bagged sugar is processed to industry stds/ratios. Cane producers hate MI's sugar beet competition, but at last we're made in USA vs $hipped in from the islands or South America.
That said, I get enough calories from Bud Light and Captain Morgan.
