I'm partial to Chevys; my first choice would be a 1955 Bel Air 2dr hardtop. I have a 1960 2dr hdtp and had a '59 2dr hdtp for over 20 years.

My next choice would be a 1933 Chevrolet "Eagle", five window coupe. They are pretty rare; I have only seen one, and it knocked me over!

I also think the 1960 Impala convertible is one of the prettiest ever made.

While we're talking Classic Cars, here's a T shirt design we used for our car show one year. They guy who printed this was a real pro; B Scott printing in Kansas. I have several more, but they are on a PDF file that I don't know how to post.

1968 hemi Road Runner. Black, 4 speed, 3.55 Dana rear end, manual steering, manual drum brakes, radio delete, rubber floor mats. All stock except a hydraulic cam installed instead of the solid lifter cam that would have been stock, and electronic ignition that you hide the components so it looks factory.

My late Dad's 1964 Tarpon. It was a prototype, Rambler 327, 4spd.

Waiting for ultrarunner to reply..... :ROFLMAO:

IIRC, he already owns most of them, so it would be a tough call.

I never owned a cool car in my youth, so I don't really have an emotional connection with any vintage cars. I can enjoy site seeing at a car show, but I'm not motivated enough to store and maintain one.

My first car was a 76 Plymouth Volare, and I don't want another one. Next car was an 85 Mercury Topaz, and I seriously don't want another one of those.

I've never owned a cool car either, but like you I enjoy seeing them at a car show. Yeah, those Volares were pretty awful, but then again I'd have a hard time naming any cars from the 70s that didn't suck, other than a handful of models that carried over from the 60s.

1949 Ford F1 is my favorite.
That was a sharp looking truck. I was born in '49 so it would be cool to have one.

One thing that kind of annoys me about old trucks and car shows is that everyone seems to think they have to either make them a hotrod, ratrod or otherwise highly customized. Don't see many that are mostly stock.

WWII era Willys MB Jeep. My dad purchased one when he was discharged in ’46 and kept it as his daily driver for almost 25 years.

There was a local garage owner who had one of those. He got it from his father, who inherited it from HIS father. The plan was to pass it on to the 4th generation, but they closed their doors and moved so I don't know if it ever happened.

Wanting a cool car from the past is one of the reasons that old 1966 Chevy 2 door convertible with removable hardtop stays in the garage, despite not having the time to drag it out. It got shut down for insurance reasons, and hasn't made it back to the top of the "to do" list. It will make it one day!

I always wanted a 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6 in Cortez Silver.

I have a 1970 Nova SS 350 matching numbers that is in it's 8th year of total frame-off restoration. I'm retired now, so hopefully I can devote more time to it now.
