Kit outbuildings for your vehicle storage

Hi all, Don't know if this is the best place for this post but I'll give it a try. I'm looking for some recommendations from any of you that built or had built outbuildings from a kit. I'm looking to build, as economically as possible, an approximately 30X 40 building for just keeping my Tractor, ATV, Motorhome, boat, and implements out of the weather. Also need an entry door tall enough for the RV. No insulation or custom interior. I thought a kit would be the least expensive option but I see so many outfits online that I don't know which are ok, better, or best. If anyone has some manufacturers they are pleased with I'd be glad to hear. I need to keep it lo cost because I have to pay for some serious excavating as I live on a mountainside with no real good level land and need to create a good pad. Thanks up front for any input.

If it's just to protect from the weather, this could be an option? It's much cheaper than wood or steel.

When we bought or place it had a nice 30x60 slab about 100' from the back of the house. I saw it as halfway to a barn. We looked at kit barns which we have done in the past but didn't want to spend that kind of money. We then looked at metal buildings and ended up with this for half the cost of a wood kit barn. Worked with the salesman on the design and asked if I could erect it myself which is my normal approach. He talked me out of that and it worked out well. They erected it in three days. 14ga square tube frame and we upgraded the sheetmetal from 29ga to 26ga. We have since fitted it out with stall fronts on the left and hay storage and tack room on the right. I'm sure the price of metal has changed and don't know what labor cost is in your area. This was a local operation in central Texas. Not a big seller like Morton.

Hey thanks to all for input so far. Don't care about wood or metal but I expect metal buildings are less expensive. The fabric buildings are a good alternative to some folks but I need something more secure. And yes, I may need a bigger building, after some thought. I forgot that I had a 20 ft. boat I'd like to get out of the weather. I've seen the versatube stuff and would really like to hear from anyone who used it. Thanks again folks!

A majority of RV ports are 20'x40'x12' in WxLxH dimensions, and are made of metal. Typically are custom ordered for customers specific color choice. You could place two such RV Ports in close proximity, and achieve 40'x40'x12' of covered parking. Projected Costs should range upto $4800 installed for each, or $9600 total. If you really have a bigger budget, you can then bring in gravel base for parking vehicles on, and do solar powered lighting around the structures for night lighting.

I like the concrete covered porch....perfect for wood choppin!
