It has been. A few people I know had shingle or siding damage last week from wind. 50 mph + gusts here today.

2021-03-17_07-26-37We are having our driest March on record, with only .003" of rain so far. That should be coming to an end when that front pushes north and soaks us tomorrow. 
Unfortunately it's also going to bring 60 mph winds too.
Unfortunately it's also going to bring 60 mph winds too.The rain is here but not as heavy as I hoped. Still a steady rain and ground seems to be pretty saturated already. Just took a walk back to the pond and there is at least some runoff going in now. More rain forecast for tonight so hopefully at least the flats will be covered and moving up the banks after this one.

Unfortunately the heavy rains never materialized. We gained about a foot of water. More on the way tonight so will check tomorrow.

I was thinking about you today when our rain didn't happen. They keep lowering the chances for tonight and tomorrow morning. Then we get another chance in a few days. Fingers crossed for ya.
Yep. Radar model looks like it may miss us completely now.
Still waiting on the rain here so decided to add a few more items while it was dry. Added another tree crossing and a couple more fish habitats from some old 6" to 10" firework mortars and stone from the dig. At some point I'll get some rock under the ends of my two log crossings to help keep it from rotting as quick.

I live in western Illinois I we aren’t close to you but not that far away, we have actually had quite a bit of rain, must have missed you. Nice looking fish structures, shame they will get covered up.
