On this day in 1975, Chiang Kai-shek passed away at the age of 87. He was the leader of China from 1928 to 1975. I remember hearing of this when I was a kid. It was a world away from where I grew up.

I remember Merle. I had tickets to a Willie Nelson/Merle Haggard concert in Enid but he passed just before the concert. Went anyway; Willie was, to be kind, disappointing.

I saw them both in concert at separate events many years ago. Pretty sure I would not want to see a Willy concert anymore. I still like his music but it would not be as I recall from years ago so I prefer to keep the memories of what it was.

Ms. Thatcher was not cast very complementary in Netflix series The Crown.
Speaking of which, just review the life of Queen Elizabeth for a few minutes. Holy Cow! That lady has seen everything.

I got nothing against the guy but the idea of royalty puts me off.
CBS news has spent 20 minutes so far on the prince..........oh yea, we had a few mass killings yesterday too.
