That was my exact thought for Drew as well. The generator would enjoy the exercise.

To remove the chuck, there is a LH thread screw down inside it holding it to the shaft, after you remove that chuck the short end of an Allen wrench in the jaws if it will still work. Then smack the long end with a hammer to break it loose. The chuck is RH thread. You can also use an Allen bit in an impact gun. Use the biggest bit that will fit in the chuck.

Was looking at a big trailer place in PA. Trailer superstore .com Will have to check weight of ranger to decide 1 or 2 axle. Think I only paid $1600 for my new 7k 16 ft trailer, which still works fine but does need a tail light fixed, and new decking.
With my son moving again soon, I thought enclosed for double duty, moving and toy hauling. I really didn’t want one over 10 ft, but it seems 7ft wide start at 12 ft. 12 ft gives me some positioning room. Side door is a must.

It’s 47 with a high in the low 60’s for today.
Rain is ending. Tempest says an inch, Davis says half that.

Today will be a shop day, two more speaker orders, got to get the one in progress out the door. Hopefully nothing breaks in the neighborhood, I’ve already got plenty to keep me busy.

I agree with Ron that it’s better to focus on what we have in common that what we disagree on. There are plenty of other venues for that. Hopefully he will be back.

Not sure, but I think MD says 75% capacity. We spread chairs apart, and require masks. We are starting classes back up soon. Govt says 3 ft spacing for classrooms.

Likewise, use generator during the power outage.

The left hand screw came out easily with a Makita impact driver, though it was somewhat rusty. I've been soaking the threads with Kroil for the past month, and have lost track of how many times I've wacked the Torx and/or Allen wrench with a 16 oz. ball peen hammer. I checked the threads in the new chuck, and yes, they are right hand. I think the problem goes back ten years or so when I dropped the drill in a creek. It still ran great once it dried off, but that probably started rust in those threads. I hadn't thought to use an impact gun, so that's the next step. Thanks!

Mounted those 48w LED work lights. Now I need to figure out how best to wire them to the fuse box. I'm not a real good electrician, but I'm thinking about splicing them in to the rear work lights harness. The rear work lights' harness is factory John Deere.
That way, I wouldn't have to run wiring to the aft end of the cab, down about 4 feet, then forward to the front end fuse box. Nor would I need another switch separate from the rear work light switch...any thoughts from you guys more tech savvy then me?

53F and cloudy, but it seems like the sun is making an effort to peek through. High today is only predicted to hit 55F. Supposed to start clearing up a little later, with "sunny" predicted by 18:00.

Outlook for tomorrow is much better, with a high of 63F predicted and only a 5% chance of precipitation, winds light and variable.

There's a pair of mallards that has been hanging around at the frog pond this last week or so - likely attracted by the tadpole crop - and they were out there again this morning ... along with what sounded like a red-tailed hawk, who was screaming. The hawk was very close ... likely up in the maple right next to the house. Hope the mallards will be ok and don't wind up being someone's dinner.

Menards order is ready so I'll likely head down there after I get everyone fed and pick that up.

Depending on the dandelion situation and how wet it is I might mow the front after I get back.

45°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 66° today. It rained all day here yesterday. Started around 2am and finally stopped just before 5pm. It was a light but steady rain, the good soaker kind.

Got most of the mowing done after work Friday night. Mowed right up to almost 7:45 sunset. Just the pasture left, and that's not going to happen now until Monday at the earliest. Rather wet back there today.

Since the rain kept us in all day yesterday, I helped The Wife fold laundry and clean the house a bit in the morning, then retired to the studio and spent the rest of the day in there (or here, as that's where I am this morning as well). She's immersed herself in a new cross-stitch project.

I might try to take a walk with the line trimmer later, after the sun has had a chance to dry things a bit. Definitely need it along the road/ditch and around the pond.

Hope your doctors can get your situation sorted out as well, Randy.

I'm another admirer of not only Ron's photography, but his approach to life as well. Would be nice to have him back. ... and Jay ... and riptides ... and many others who've strayed away from this wonderful group for whatever reasons.

I don't know about the savvy part ... but, my LS has separate switches for the front and rear work lights, and honestly, I'm not sure I've ever had an occasion yet where I only had on one and not the other. Seems to me like a solid plan, Roy, so long as the fuse and wiring will handle the current for both sets.
