Anyone seeing them in masses yet ?
No. It's still freezing at night here. Two more nights of it, then we can plant our annuals outdoors. The ground isn't warm enough yet.Anyone seeing them in masses yet ?
Indiana has 3 broods of 17 years cicadas and 2 broods of 13 year cicadas. Two of the 17 year broods come out a few years apart and are widespread statewide. The other 17 year brood and the two 13 year broods are only in a few places in the state. Interesting critters.I thought those noisy buggers only came every 7 years?

Except the don't mate and crawl back into a hole. They mate then die.TV said in central NC we will get our cicadas in 3 more years.
I can relate. Live in a hole in the ground for 17 years, come out, raise he//, mate and crawl back into your hole.
Sounds like me except the mating part!
